Description

Immerse yourself in nature & experience the magic of the lush gardens, free-roaming bunnies, fairy gardens, stargazing area w/ telescope, meditating in the Soul Garden, trout stream on property, and the Privacy - no more than 8 guests at one time! Three blocks from downtown Spring Valley, less than .5 miles to local restaurants, shops, frisbee golf and outdoor pool. Come relax, rejuvenate, and reconnect with yourself or your partner. Live your Best Life! 420 & pet friendly, adults only please. The space Fantasy Woodland is an artistic creation by a former artist-in-residence, Devin Richer. A vintage camper painted and decorated in the whimsical Whispering Winds style. The fifth wheel features an outdoor day bed for lounging and watching the horses, reading a book, or waiting patiently with a carrot for a bunny to come by. :-) Whispering Winds is a holistic healing micro retreat specializing in nature-based self-care. We believe in caring for the land and ensuring it’s just as magical for future generations as it is for the current ones. Guests constantly comment on the healing energy that seems to blanket the farmette. Our garden rooms will delight your senses! A nature trail you can walk barefoot, grounding yourself for health and mental clarity. And an outdoor meditation/yoga area. Sound healing with outdoor gongs, wind chimes, bird song, crickets and frogs. Marvel at the evening dance of the fireflies and scent of lush flower beds, June through August. The Fairy Walk sparkles with solar lights in the evening. Hammock for afternoon naps. And an expansive outdoor kitchen where you can grill your own culinary creations, or that trout you just caught in the stream! Whispering Winds is home to many animals (wild and domestic) and features a horse pasture, ducks, bunnies, cat, dog, chickens, and a fully stocked trout stream. Guest access Guests have access to the entire grounds at Whispering Winds. We encourage you to explore and appreciate what nature has to offer! Details for all amenities are below: || Outdoor Community Kitchen || ——————————————--- The centrally located Community Kitchen is a shared space with lots of options for cooking: Gas & charcoal grills, wood pellet pizza oven, Dutch oven, solar cooker, fire pit w/ grill grates, chiminea & a rocket stove. Coffee/tea makers, electric kettle, Kuerig-style French press, ice maker. The kitchen is equipped with a sink - please do your own dishes or we will access a $10 fee per time. Cooking water provided in a gal. jug. Ample prep area with quartz countertops, and a variety of dining areas including a screened gazebo. || Community Spaces || ———————————— WiFi is also available near the main house, if needed. Two Community Firepits! One is located near the creek the other by the Moon Garden. If we are hosting a Saturday night campfire chat, these are open to guests & non-guests and provide a place for discussions & community building. The Dog Park is centrally located and provides a fenced in area for our four-legged friends to play and stretch their legs. Pets must be attended to at all times. Please pick up after your pooch. :-) || Reflection Spaces & More || ——————————————— The Soul Garden is ideal for outdoor meditation. Located on the Nature Trail, you will sense it as you enter. Please remove your shoes to preserve the moss that covers the ground. The Moon Garden is another area to practice Mindfulness. A gong, windchimes, copper healing pyramid, a sand grounding circle to sink your feet into, art pieces, and crystals combine for the perfect ambiance. The Moon Garden faces directly south. It also features a large firepit for guests to gather at. There is a Letting Go Loop off the main trail with a chair, table, covered box with paper & pen to write what you desire to let go of, and a lighter and firepit to offer it up to a Higher Power. The Gratitude Trail, across from Letting Go Loop, is a place for you to contemplate all that you are grateful for with ribbons tied onto Elderberry branches. Stargazing chairs and a telescope are provided near the Moon Garden to really appreciate the majesty of the night sky. Whether lounging in a hammock, fishing for trout, or simply wading through and feeling the water on your feet, or bring a tube (or rent one of ours) to float down a lazy river. Spring Valley Creek is a favorite among guests. A nature trail takes you through the woods and along the creek. With vibrant green moss, beautiful flowers and lots of hidden treasures, this isn’t your average walk through the woods. We suggest taking a stroll at different times of the day, you’ll be sure to notice something different each time! || Outhouse & Bath House || ——————————————— A Flushing Outhouse is available for guests as well as an outdoor Bath House. A delight for the brave of heart, the Bath House contains both a shower and tub completely enclosed by vine covered trellises. While always open, water is heated via the sun — thus warm water is subject to weather conditions. Hot indoor showers are available for $3, your towels, or $5 if you need a towel. Laundry is available on-site for $5 per load for wash and dry. Outdoor laundry lines also available. Other things to note We invite you to help contribute and join our community! We are going to be growing by hosting classes, workshops, and weekend retreats which focus on things that excite us: sustainable living, herbalism, yoga, permaculture and more. Have an idea for a class? Want to teach a workshop? Are you an artist that wants a place to sell your art? Or just a freeform visionary with a dream? Let us know your idea, we are all ears. --- --> Note that units do not have running water, but do have electric, heat & A/C.
