Description
Our cabin sits on 200 private forested acres, surrounded by Sundown Wild Forest. Experience true wilderness only 2 hours from NYC. Walk the land and you'll see porcupines, deer, bald eagles, foxes, and lots of beautiful birds. With a driveway almost a mile-long, you won't hear any cars or see any neighbors in sight! We have WiFi but we recommend unplugging, reading books (we have lots), BBQing and sitting around a fire, making some art.. & we're 30 mins away from Accord and Livingston Manor! The space PLEASE READ ALL DETAILS as this is a rustic, remote cabin and is not fit for every guest. This is not a hotel or a fancy Hudson Airbnb! It is a rustic cabin on an old horse ranch sitting on 200 acres of private forested wilderness. If you want a weekend retreat where you can roam the land freely, with no noise restrictions, and no neighbors or roads in sight, this is your spot. It’s a true haven but we want guests to understand what they can expect. PLEASE NOTE that the home is located approximately .8 of a mile up a private access road. A four-wheel-drive vehicle is recommended. Vehicles with low clearance to the ground might have difficulty. It is a gravel uphill road and is moreso off-roading uphill. Main floor: - Living room with kitchen/dining area and two large couches - Main bedroom with a king bed - Full bathroom Large loft upstairs: - 3 queen beds (two in private nooks) - Reading nook - Desk/library area Basement: - Workout area with a Peloton and weights/bands - Full bathroom/laundry room combo - Art supply bins (drop cloths, paints etc) Also, as it is a rustic retreat, you will be communing with nature. Please expect and enjoy the wildlife present like birds, squirrels, insects and such. We of course do our best to keep them outdoors in their habitat! Guest access Entire house and acreage Other things to note - Wild land!: The 200 acres consist of incredibly wild forestland. We use game trails and UTV trails to hike and walk around but the trails are unmanaged and do not have signs. There are signs marking where the property ends but they are spread out. If you are going to walk around we recommend using the app "OnX" (GPS tracking where you are relative to property boundaries - can use a free trial). - Kids: We have games and our friends' kids love the property, but our property is not geared towards children. You won't find any safety gates, kid friendly dishware etc and there are tools out on shelves in the basement. - Sound: There are no noise restrictions. You can use our indoor speaker but if you want to have music outside please bring an outdoor speaker.
