Set amongst the rolling hills of a working cattle farm in Darlington, Hilltop Haven is a secluded cabin retreat for two designed to foster intimacy, deep relaxation and quiet indulgence. Whether you’re planning a quiet weekend away or celebrating something special, Hilltop Haven invites you to unwind in nature, savour small luxuries, and make memories that last a lifetime. Located 1.5hours drive from Brisbane & the Gold Coast. The space Designed to nurture connection and restoration, our cabin offers little indulgences like double vintage baths, a crackling outdoor fire, a sweeping deck, and awe-inspiring views. The living area features full-height windows framing the rugged mountain ranges, perfect for relaxing on the cosy couch. The fully equipped kitchen includes essentials like coffee pods, eggs and butter, plus all appliances needed to prepare meals. A complimentary welcome hamper adds a touch of indulgence. Meals can be enjoyed indoors at the kitchen bench or outdoors on the spacious deck. The calming bedroom is fitted with a king-size bed, positioned to catch the sunrise, with a selection of books and board games tucked under the bed for quiet evenings. The bathroom includes a rain shower and all essential amenities. Step onto the deck to unwind in the vintage cast iron baths, fire up the gas barbecue, lounge with a book on the sunbed, or share starry nights at the fire pit. A refreshing breeze flows through most days, with air-conditioning available for warmer nights. To encourage complete relaxation, Hilltop Haven does not include a TV or Wi-Fi, and mobile reception can be limited. Guest access The cabin is accessed via a steep gravel driveway approximately 250 m from the Kerry Road entrance. Please note that low-clearance vehicles may have difficulty, especially during wet conditions. As we are a working farm, the cabin area is fenced to keep cattle safely away from the building. Guests are very welcome to explore the property—enjoy a swim in the creek or head up to the lookout for a sunset picnic at your leisure. We just ask that all gates are closed behind you. Additional details can be found in the guest book. Other things to note We kindly ask that guests are mindful and respectful of the property during their stay. The cabin is supplied with fresh, filtered river water, which is safe to drink. However, you’re very welcome to bring your own drinking water if you prefer. Please note that the outdoor baths require a significant amount of water, so we ask that they’re used thoughtfully and intentionally. Our guest manual includes recommendations for local farms and walking tracks that make for lovely day trips during your stay.
