Surrounded by lush nature and birds, it offers spectacular sunrises and sunsets on clear days and a magical cloud forest on gray days. Immerse yourself in the serenity and luxury of this unique retreat. Make every moment an unforgettable experience of connecting with history and natural beauty. Ideal for those seeking tranquility in an environment of ancestral grandeur. The space The Story of Loma Linda: A Mystical Sanctuary in the Ecuadorian Amazon Deep in the Ecuadorian Amazon, about 600 meters above sea level, lies an enigmatic and fascinating corner known as Loma Linda. This place, located near the city of Tena, in the province of Napo, has been the subject of countless legends and studies due to its peculiar geological formation and its mysterious atmosphere that invites reflection and discovery. The Ancestral Ravine Loma Linda stands on an impressive stone ravine that not only stands out for its natural beauty, but also for the intriguing arrangement of its rocks. The stones that make up this ravine seem to form an ancient human settlement, defying the belief that they are merely whims of nature. Their shapes and sizes are so precise that they seem to have been placed by the expert hands of a forgotten civilization. These stones, aligned from north to south, create a striking structure, with large overlapping blocks that seem to tell the story of a distant past. One of the most fascinating features of this place is the presence of fossilized shells embedded in the stones of the ravine, vestiges of a time when this land was submerged under water, possibly during the great flood described in the ancient scriptures and legends of various civilizations. These shells suggest that, millions of years ago, Loma Linda was a seabed that was home to marine life, before being raised by powerful tectonic movements that shaped the majestic Ecuadorian Amazon. The Ceremonial View of the Sumaco Volcano From the ravine, the view opens to the imposing Sumaco Volcano, a solitary colossus that rises majestically on the horizon. Loma Linda's exact position in relation to this volcano suggests a possible ceremonial use of the place by ancient inhabitants, who perhaps saw in the Sumaco a sacred mountain, a point of connection between heaven and earth. This volcano, with its imposing presence and constant seismic activity, adds a touch of mysticism and grandeur to Loma Linda's already rich history. Carved Stones and Mystical Flora As you tour Loma Linda, you'll notice that some stones appear to have been carved with animal and face shapes, one more artifact that suggests the hand of ancient man. These petroglyphs, scattered throughout the site, invite visitors to observe carefully and let their imagination run wild, seeking to understand the meaning of these enigmatic symbols. The arrangement of the stones, with caverns and square structures, suggests a complexity that still challenges the understanding of modern scholars. At the entrance to Loma Linda is a gigantic tree that, with its 40 meters in height and 60 meters in crown width, is reminiscent of a giant bonsai. This tree is not only an impressive natural spectacle, but also seems to be a silent guardian of the place, a silent witness to the events that have shaped the history of this region. Loma Linda Wildlife The fauna that inhabits Loma Linda is as rich and varied as its history. It is common to see sloths hanging from trees, eagles majestically gliding through the sky, and curious tayras moving nimbly through the vegetation. In addition, a multitude of vibrantly colored birds fill the air with their song, adding a natural symphony to the serene and peaceful atmosphere of the place. A Look at the Past and the Future From Loma Linda you can see the region's main mountains, such as the majestic Chiuta and, in the distance, the Archidona crosses, a symbol that stands over the jungle. These landmarks are not only visually impressive, but also provide a geographical context that places Loma Linda in the heart of a region rich in history and spirituality. The Call to Modern Explorers Loma Linda is a place that invites reflection and exploration. Every stone, every tree, and every view tells a story waiting to be discovered by visitors. We invite you to be part of this adventure, to explore every corner of Loma Linda and to contribute your own theories and discoveries. Each guest has the opportunity to be an investigator, to observe carefully, and to discover the secrets that this place hides. Keep all your senses alert and let the magic of Loma Linda envelop you. You may find clues to ancient civilizations, or simply enjoy the beauty and serenity of a place that has stood the test of time and continues to inspire all who visit it. Your trip to Loma Linda is more than a stay; it is an opportunity to connect with the past and be part of the future of this mysterious and charming sanctuary in the heart of the Ecuadorian Amazon.
