Nestled in the heart of Lacock, the suite boasts a 2nd floor bedroom with a 4-poster bed, views over the church and village on 3 sides and a luxurious mattress and bedding. The 1st floor offers a spacious lounge with a dining area and a beautifully designed shower room. The historic building has recently been refurbished. Please note there is no kitchen included. Breakfast is provided. Outside is a private courtyard garden, complete with outdoor seating, atmospheric lighting, and a fire bowl. The space The Governor's House is an annexe to The Tanyard - built as the village Workhouse in 1834. It is situated in a large courtyard just off one of the village's high-streets making it centrally located, serenely tucked away. The courtyard is shared with the villages historic 13th century church and Harry Potter's parents’ house. The Tanyard is also home to a jewellery studio (located on the ground floor of The Governor's House) and our own shop which sells British made homewares, art and gifts. Guest access The Governor's house includes private parking in an off-street, private courtyard. Much needed in this popular tourist village. Guests can enjoy their own private courtyard garden including seating, a cosy fire-bowl, and lighting for evening entertainment. Access to the courtyard and The Governor's House is private without having to pass through any shared spaces. Other things to note Please note this is a B&B- there is no kitchen. Breakfast is provided and there is a small fridge. The village and local area has lots of places to eat out and places to buy sandwiches etc for lunch. You are also welcome to have takeaway delivered from Chippenham, Melksham or Corsham.
