Recently lovingly renovated this charming 2 bedroom cottage is situated in the centre of this quaint village. The house is adjacent to the Trent and Mersey canal and a short distance to the popular Mercia Marina. All village amenities are close at hand (within walking distance), including 3 good pubs, takeaways, local supermarket and train station. Access from the back of the cottage leads directly onto the canal. An ideal cosy base for the Derbyshire Dales, Peak District and Alton Towers. The space Canalside Cottage is a beautifully restored 2 bedroom cottage dating back to 1860's positioned in the centre of a popular quaint village overlooking the Trent and Mersey Canal with 3 village pubs, cafes, nature reserve and shops. Open plan living area and kitchen to ground floor. First Floor one double and one single bedroom with shower room. Furnished to a modern comfortable standard. Guest access The property has direct access to the Trent and Mersey canal, with an enclosed garden to the front of the property. Situated in the centre of the village, car parking is in a free car park, a very short distance from the cottage. The village is popular with visitors who enjoy the amenities and the canal. There is also a railway station (across the road) with good transport links. Other things to note The beautifully renovated cottage dates back to 1860. The stairs are quite steep, there is a handrail. Bedroom 2 is cosy, quite small but good for a single. It has a dressing table and mirror. The ensuite shower room is accessed from both bedrooms - like a Jack and Gill style. I have a travel cot and a high chair, please let me know before you arrive if needed during your stay! I provide tea, coffee and sugar for you to use and have a Nespresso coffee machine with milk frother. There is olive oil or sunflower oil, salt & pepper. I don't supply any other condiments for your stay. You have a private, fenced garden with a small table and 2 chairs.
