Description
Number Eight is a quiet and cosy stone cottage in a pretty village location. It sleeps 2 guests in the single bedroom and there is a sofa bed in the sitting room. The property benefits from its own private garden and has an attractive garden room. The village shops and cafe are a short walk from the cottage and the village pub is also within walking distance. There are numerous footpaths and bridleways close by. Within easy driving distance are many interesting and historic places to visit. The space Number Eight has a cosy and comfortable sitting room with tv/dvd, dining table and chairs and a sofa bed. Main heating is by storage heater with an additional coal effect electric heater in the stone fireplace. A door leads to a separate well equipped kitchen. Beyond the kitchen is a small garden room looking out onto the patio/garden. This is an ideal breakfast room in the warmer months. From the kitchen, steep narrow twisty stairs lead to a small landing. The bedroom has a dressing table, bedside cabinets and a pine double bed and the bathroom is fitted with bath (not a shower), wash basin and wc and there is a heated towel rail. There are low ceilings and doorways throughout the cottage. Other things to note Number Eight is conveniently situated for all the village amenities, but numerous footpaths with beautiful views are within a few minutes' walk of the cottage. Further afield, but within easy driving distance are lovely Cotswold towns and villages including Burford, Stow on the Wold, Bibury, Moreton in Marsh, and Bourton on the Water, to name but a few. Blenheim Palace at Woodstock is only a 20 minute drive away. Charlbury railway station is only 3 miles from the cottage. There is a selection of ''places to visit'' brochures in the sitting room.
