K’gari House - Eurong

K’gari House is a generously sized 3-bedroom home, perfect for a relaxing family getaway. Nestled in the secure area of Eurong Second Valley, the area is surrounded by a Dingo-safe fence. A short walk will take you to the beach, as well as Eurong's resort bar, restaurant, bakery, and shop. The location is ideal for exploring renowned destinations such as Lake McKenzie, Lake Wabby, and Lake Birrabeen, and it's just a quick drive to the SS Maheno shipwreck and the sparkling water of Eli Creek. The space House Layout & Sleeping Arrangements: This 3-bedroom, 2-bathroom home comfortably sleeps up to 8 guests: - Bedroom 1: Queen bed - Bedroom 2: Queen bed - Bedroom 3: 2 x Bunks The living area is air-conditioned (limited to 50% solar battery charge), with ceiling fans in all bedrooms and living spaces. Starlink Wifi available and smartTV in main living room. The fully equipped kitchen features an oven, gas cook-top, outdoor BBQ, large fridge/freezer, microwave, toaster, kettle, sandwich press and all kitchen crockery/utensils. Utilities & House Rules - The house operates on gas for both cooking and hot water. The BBQ also uses gas, and we refill as needed. Please dispose of excess BBQ oil in the garbage upon departure. - The house uses a septic waste system. Strictly only toilet paper to be put in toilets to avoid blockages. Please use bins provided for all other disposables. - All waste is to be disposed of prior to departure. There is a rubbish disposal area in second valley, just past the initial street entry to the houses. (If turning out of the street, it is to the right. Otherwise, if you continue along the same road that Fraser Island Beach Houses is located, it is located at the end of the road) - The kitchen includes essential cookware, cutlery, crockery, and wine glasses. Please do not take any kitchen items to other locations. - We ask that you not move furniture or remove items from the house. If anything breaks, inform us so we can replace it before the next guests arrive. - No swags, tents, or open fires are permitted on the property. Smoking is only allowed outside. Water & Laundry - As the house relies on a rainwater tank, please be mindful of water usage. Avoid washing cars, as there's a car wash facility at the resort. - The washing machine is for cold washes only. Shake sand out of clothes before washing. Please return the washing basket and pegs indoors after use. What to Bring Bed linen is included in cleaning fee but please bring your own: - Beach towels - Personal toiletries - Toilet paper and garbage bags - Tea towels - Dishwashing liquid, chux, garbage bags etc Power - The house runs on solar power with a backup generator. To prevent overloading, avoid using high-energy appliances like hairdryers, rice cookers, or deep fryers. On cloudy days, conserve power by switching off lights, fans, and chargers. - *Please do not leave the air-conditioning running when you leave the house.* Guest access Guests have full access to the house, except for the private cupboard and storerooms in garage area (marked with a sign).
