Description
Nestled in 2 hectares of lush subtropical gardens and regenerating rainforest, Flame Trees Cabin offers a special hinterland garden-stay experience. The newly built cabin features rustic new and repurposed timbers, stylish and soothing interior furnishings, and a beautiful tree-filled outlook. If you like strolling through gardens, watching birds, observing nature, or simply relaxing in beautiful surrounds, you will enjoy staying at Flame Trees Cabin. The space The cabin is a comfortable and cosy open plan space. It contains a well-stocked kitchenette, queen bed with luxurious linen sheets, a composting toilet, and a large window seat that can be made up as a king single bed. Outside there’s an outdoor bath and barbeque on a private deck overlooking the rainforest garden, a picnic table and firepit. A few steps further into the garden is a pavilion furnished with super comfy outdoor lounges – perfect for morning coffee or chilling out with a book. If you’re feeling up to it, this is a great space to play lawn games, which you’ll find in the pavilion. You have exclusive use of the pavilion during your stay. Guest access The cabin is private but not secluded. The main house is 25 metres away with a garage, driveway, screening trees and garden beds separating the house and cabin. Once you arrive at the cabin, you can’t see the main house and you are in your own 3-acre garden and regenerating forest retreat. You are welcome to explore all areas of the property, including the gardens around the main house, but be sure to wear covered shoes if you’re venturing into the paddocks, gully or rainforest regeneration area. There are two car spaces directly outside the cabin. The cabin has self-access key check-in. Other things to note The cabin is an easy 10-15 mins commute to Lismore hospitals, schools and university so is perfect for short or long stay guests who are looking for a quiet place to relax after work. Ballina beaches are 30 mins drive. We share our outdoor spaces with local wildlife, including many species of birds, butterflies and other insects, reptiles (including snakes in warmer months), and occasional koalas and wallabies. The garden requires a lot of upkeep so you’re likely to see us working outside the gardens near the main house. We’re always happy to stop for a chat but unless there’s urgent maintenance, we’ll steer clear of the 3 acres surrounding the cabin and pavilion so you can be assured of privacy. We're in a quiet location but occasionally you may hear farm machinery from our neighbours’ macadamia orchards. There is a good wifi connection in the cabin and a smart TV. Breakfast provisions include a selection of coffees, teas and milk, cereal, yoghurt, bread, butter, spreads and fruit. A shared washing machine is available for guest use. The laundry is located at the back of the main house and is accessed by a separate door. The cabin has its own clothesline. Registration Details PID-STRA-71263
