This unique place has a style all of its own - a cosy refurbished farm cottage with a spiral staircase that was designed and built on the family farm - no other like it anywhere! Scenic walks from your doorstep with cattle and sheep nearby, an abundance of wildlife and a variety of woodlands. A very peaceful and romantic destination to explore East Berwickshire, with Coldingham Bay and St. Abb's Head Nature Reserve close by and Edinburgh an hour away, famous for its castle and festivals. The space Luxury accommodation for 2 - this well equipped and recently renovated mid terrace farm cottage has super fast broadband to the premises together with a very efficient heating system supplied by the farm biomass boiler, ensuring a warm house on arrival! Ground floor: Open plan kitchen with slimline dishwasher and combi/microwave oven, small fridge with ice box, living area with stunning spiral staircase, 'Sofology' sofa, smart tv, wood burner, ample supply of logs, and reading material. Bathroom with walk in shower, WC, vanity unit and mirror, under floor heating, and heated towel rail. First floor: Light filled open plan bedroom with views to the garden and fields beyond, king oak bed with bedside dimmer angle poise lamps and bespoke built in wardrobe and drawers. Patio with bistro set and garden surrounded by mature trees - it's possible to climb over the wall at the back to gain access to the fields etc. Plenty of walks on the farm, in particular the Dean, taking in the valley view towards the sea. There's also a Games Room with table tennis and table football in an old converted farm building and the Reservoir which has a collection of water fowl that can be observed from a hut, with tea and coffee making facilities! Please see my Profile to view other cottages on the farm. Guest access Guests can walk anywhere on the farm but please close farm gates behind you. Best to avoid fields that have cows and calves in and the farm sheds at busy times for health and safety reasons. Other things to note Delicious homemade shortbread on arrival. Ample supply of logs and kindling for woodburner. There’s a wall charger at the farmhouse for EV charging (Type 2) *25p/kWh*. Please leave cash in cottage on departure or BACS (details in information folder in cottage). No outside shoes on upstairs carpet please. *Our check in days are Mondays, Fridays and Saturdays in the low season and Fridays only in the summer. Registration details SB-01012-F
