Renovated over 4 years, this exquisite Homestead is a spectacular jewel of the Southern Tablelands. The space SERENITY FOR THE TAKING - CRAFT YOUR OWN UNFORGETABLE STORIES You know you “have arrived” somewhere special when greeted by two gleaming white 5 bar gates – the entrance to a sweeping, tree lined driveway. The Mansion Homestead is set at the centre of a 96-acre equestrian farm overlooking lawns, parkland, the lake and fertile rolling hills beyond. A sun drenched Grand East Terrace and 2 storey wrap around verandahs are perfect to take in the views. Elevated at 670 metres above sea level, this property is uniquely positioned for spectacular vistas and the rich wool growing history of a former 60,000-acre sheep station. Highclere, a grand, yet unpretentious 36 room Australian Mansion Homestead built in the Victorian Italianate style, is an architectural marvel of its time. This Country House features a 4-storey tower overlooking a parkland setting of established trees – English Oaks and Elms, Ash, Radiata Pines, Manchurian Pear etc. Accommodation for up to 20 adults in 10 individually designed King bedrooms with 8 bathrooms. Elegance and comfort meld harmoniously showcasing a curated mix of English, French, Italian and Spanish antique furnishings along with mid-century and contemporary pieces. Relax in one of the six beautifully appointed reception rooms: • The Grand Staircase Hall/ Saloon • Stunning Yellow Drawing Room • Formal Dining Room (seats 20) • The Plasters Sitting Room/ Whiskey Room with digital television flows through to the Butler’s Pantry room and outdoor dining terrace and BBQ area. • The First Floor Gallery Sitting Room • The Second Floor Tower Suite has its own private Sitting Room GOURMET KITCHEN & BUTLER’S PANTRY: A well-equipped kitchen with adjacent, generous butler’s pantry boast high end appliances, including an Ilve oven gas range, Miele dishwashers and convection microwave, Liebherr double fridge/freezer and wine fridge. Everything you need is at your fingertips to craft delightful brunches or elegant dinners. LUXURIOUS BATHROOMS: Choice of eight bespoke marble bathrooms appointed with Perrin & Rowe English Tapware and vanities. This includes three generous ensuites to both the Pink Bedroom and Green Bedroom along with the Tower Suite. Indulge in plush towels and high-end HERMES PARIS toiletries for a refreshing escape. BEDROOMS: Each of the ten individually styled bedrooms has French linen duvet covers. Chic, soft and silky bamboo sheets are both eco-friendly and feature hypoallergenic properties . All bedrooms have king size beds with Sealy Pillow Top mattresses enhanced by cloud like, mattress toppers. Guest access An easy 3-hour drive from Sydney via the Hume Highway, Highclere is conveniently located near Cool Climate Wine Country, only 50 minutes to Canberra and a short 10 -minute drive to Yass. EXPLORE THE REGION Yass lies along the Yass River, which is a tributary of the Murrumbidgee River. Yass Valley was literally born “off the sheep’s back”; sharing a border with our Nation’s Capital.
