Please note that the South Fork River, which is a highlight of our location, is typically full and flowing strongly during the winter and spring months, thanks to seasonal rainfall and snowmelt. However, during the summer months, the water level tends to be lower or sometimes dry due to drier conditions. We encourage guests to enjoy the diverse landscapes throughout the year, each season offering its own unique charm. When visiting Cottage River, we kindly ask guests to exercise caution due to the natural landscape and rocky terrain that surrounds the area. The beauty of nature is all around, but with it comes the need to be mindful of your footing, especially in uneven areas. Additionally, you may encounter wildlife such as wild turkeys, deers, and occasionally bears passing by, as they are part of the natural environment. We hope you enjoy the serene setting, but please stay alert and respectful of the wildlife and the rugged terrain. For your safety and to protect the local wildlife, we kindly ask that you do not leave any food or food-related items outside during your stay. Bears and other animals, such as raccoons and coyotes, are attracted to the scent of food and may approach the property if it is left unattended. To avoid any unwanted encounters and to preserve the natural balance of the area, please store all food inside the home or in designated secure containers. Your cooperation is essential in keeping both you and the wildlife safe. No smoking No 🔥 FIRE pit during non fire days. If you’re unsure ask. City is very strict on fire, if you start a fire pit, you’re risking for booking cancellations.
