Charming countryside hideaway

Backing onto beautiful fields and only a stones throw from Laughton Woods, Holly Lodge offers the perfect countryside getaway. The private property comes with its own hot tub and log burner, and benefits from a good local pub and incredibly well stocked local shop and cafe within 2 minutes walk. Our self-contained annexe offers all the comforts of home with a touch of rustic charm. Inside you'll find a bright and airy living space, fully equipped kitchenette, and a comfortable king sized bed. The space On the ground floor you'll find a light and airy open plan sitting room and dining area, a small kitchen and a utility space. Upstairs is the bedroom with its king sized bed and bathroom with a bath and step-in shower. Through the living room's Frenchdoors you'll find a decking area and the hot tub, surrounded by a privacy screen with views across neighbouring fields. Our annexe shares our garden but is a seperate building approximately 10 - 15 meters from the main house. You have your own entrance (to the left of the garage), and you'll have exclusive use of the decking area and hot tub. Guest access The decking area and hot tub outside your living room will be for your use exclusively. They are in our shared family garden, approximately 10 meters from the main house. You also have use of our driveway and your own front door. Other things to note This is a rural location which we think is part of the charm, but does mean you need to drive to get around. There are no Ubers, but we're lucky to have a bus stop outside which takes you to Lewes in 25 minutes (and on to Brighton). Lewes is a lovely town to explore with plenty of great pubs, restaurants and shops. You can get the 28 bus there and back, or a cab home if it's a late one! Meanwhile, for those of you who know your hot tubs and are interested, ours is a Lay-Z-Spa Helsinki. Please help us to keep it nice and clean. And finally, our village shop is a total gem. Alison who runs it knows her stuff and stocks it beautifully so do drop in for your essentials. Please note, it closes at 12.30pm on Saturday and isn't open on Sundays so get in early. There is 24hr Londis at Golden Cross petrol station should you need it. Mentioned in a previous section but it's worth letting you know that we have two young children and a small, friendly cavapoo dog. We will keep them out of your way but do let us know if you're scared of dogs or have allergies. And lastly but by no means least, I am a yoga teacher and would love to offer you a private class while you're here.
