The space Welcome to our newly built, architecturally designed retreat, just a 4-minute walk from the pristine sands of Sharkys Beach, one of the best longboard surf spots on the South Coast. Thoughtfully crafted by Takt Architecture, our house blends modern elegance with natural warmth, making it the perfect escape for surfers, nature lovers, and anyone seeking a peaceful coastal getaway. Our loft-style home offers a cozy yet spacious atmosphere, lined in beautiful plywood for a minimalist, earthy vibe that complements the surrounding coastal environment. Inside, you'll find two comfortable beds, 1 queen in and 1 double. The double is nestled in a loftspace up a very steep ladder, and the other is in an open living space, creating an open, airy feel with plenty of natural light filtering in through large windows. If sleeping-in is on your list, be sure to bring an eye mask. Enjoy glimpses of the ocean from the comfort of the house and wake up to the sound of waves crashing in the distance. Designed for surfers and beach lovers, our home features a dedicated surfboard room, so you can easily store and prep your gear before heading to the nearby beach. Sharkys Beach is just a short stroll away, ideal for longboarding, sunbathing, or exploring the rock pools and coastal paths that wind along this stunning part of the south coast. For a perfect morning start, we’re only 1 min walk from the beloved Earthwalker Café, where you can enjoy freshly brewed coffee, delicious breakfasts, and a laid-back atmosphere that’s popular with both locals and visitors. Whether you're here to surf, relax, or explore, our place provides a peaceful base to unwind and reconnect with nature. With its clean lines, open spaces, and thoughtful design, it’s a home away from home that captures the essence of modern coastal living. Other things to note Two queen-sized beds (one in a loft, one in the open living area) We have a loft bed that is up a very steep ladder. It is recommended no child under 10 sleeps in this area., or anyone with tricky knees! A dedicated surfboard room for easy gear storage. Our home is filled with plenty of natural light throughout, and we’ve opted for an open, airy feel without blinds. If you need to take a nap during the day, we recommend bringing an eye mask for added comfort. Stairs to nowhere. You may notice a set of stairs leading to a bright orange door that remains locked—what we like to call our "Stairs to Nowhere." This door leads to our private part of the house, we’ve kept the stairwell open for your enjoyment. It adds to the spacious feel of the home, bringing in beautiful natural light and creating an open, airy ambience. Although the stairs don't lead anywhere for guests, they contribute to the charm and warmth of the space! The Table in the kitchen folds into a concertina so can either sit a table of 4 or 2.
