It also has a portable air conditioner during hot months. Guests access the main floor bathroom through this bedroom. The upstairs has three more bedrooms: Bedroom 2 has a king-sized, 4-poster bed, room-darkening curtains, and a generous walk-in closet with shelves and cupboard. This closet would be a great place for a pack-n-play (available upon request) to keep a baby close. The closet has room-darkening cellular shades that have cords, so please keep cords out of reach of small children. Bedroom 3 has a queen bed, room-darkening shades, and a walk-in closet with built-in drawers. Bedroom 4 has a bunk bed with 2 twin mattresses and room-darkening curtains. It also features 2 walk-in closets and a secret room! (Space behind a knee wall was made accessible via a doorway in a closet. It is a small, short space with carpet, finished walls, and a light. A fun surprise for kids!) All upstairs bedrooms share a newly-remodeled bathroom. The back door will be your main method of entry. A smart lock on the back door provides you with your own custom code. CHILDREN Children are welcome! Please let us know if you will be needing a pack-n-play, high chair, and baby gates ahead of time so we can make them available to you. PARKING Our driveway is shared with our neighbors, and space can be tight. You may prefer to park on the street. Please keep your car on the right side of the driveway and be very careful when backing up. Cars will be on your left, a house (with gas meter) on your right, and pedestrians on the sidewalk. Guest access Guests have full access to the entire house with the exception of two locked storage areas in the basement. Make yourself at home! Other things to note *Minimum age to rent is 25 years old. *No smoking (anything) and no vaping. This is strictly enforced with hefty cleaning fees and will be monitored. *No parties Some Quirks: Along with lots of charm, most old homes come with quirks, and ours is no exception. • The master bathroom on the main floor is the only bathroom on the main floor. To access this bathroom, one must walk through Bedroom 1. People staying in Bedroom 1 should be aware that other guests will be using their bathroom and walking through their bedroom to use the bathroom. • The showers are a bit small. • The floors creak a bit. • All upstairs bedrooms share the same bathroom. Most bedrooms have cordless blinds or blackout curtains. However, Bedroom 1 and the big walk-in closet of Bedroom 2 have corded cellular shades. Please arrange any cords such that they are unreachable by small children. PET POLICY DOGS are welcome but must be pre-approved by host and will require a pet fee. No cats or any other pet is allowed in the house. Be aware that one section of our fence is only three feet high. Additionally, the gate is self-closing with no locking mechanism. If your dog is agile or determined, escape is quite possible. We have two schools very close, and our street has a lot of traffic in the mornings and again around 3:00. By completing a booking, you are accepting the following rules and agree to abide by them. 1. Please inquire for approval before booking. 2. An additional fee will be assessed. 3. One dog maximum. 4. A dog’s maximum acceptable weight is 50 pounds. 5. Pets must be flea and tick free. 6. Dogs are not permitted on any furniture or beds. 7. Your dog must leave with you any time you leave the house, or the dog must be kept in a crate INSIDE the house. 8. Only 100% house broken dogs will be accepted. 9. Pick up all “deposits” made by your dog.
