The River House

The River House is a great private vacation getaway place, that will allow you to host a large group. With 5 spacious bedrooms, a new modern kitchen, 3 baths, a 2.5 car garage and a huge pole barn, this charming home sleeps 16 up to 18 guests. The space It is located on a 10-acre property, with the Pentwater River North Branch running across the backyard. In an ideal location just 15 minutes away from Pentwater and Ludington, this place provides an ultimate opportunity to enjoy the quiet countryside, while being close enough to nearby towns and services, Lake Michigan Beach, the activities of Silver Lake dune, many wineries and farms in the area, and outdoor activities. The house is over 3000 square feet in size and has an open floor plan. The first floor includes a renovated kitchen that is open to the living room with a view of the river, which runs right in the backyard. A large dining table and a bar/island comfortably seat 16 people. Kitchen sliders open to the large wrap-around deck overlook the amazing view of the river and woods behind it. The deck provides dining seating for 6-8 and an additional seating area for 8-10 people, a gas fire pit, as well as a convenient and accessible large grill/smoker for outdoor cooking. Also on this floor are two bedrooms (sleep 6), a newly renovated bathroom (jet-tub), and a mudroom laundry closet. The master bedroom is on the second floor with window ac unit. It has a renovated bathroom as well, a spacious walk-in closet, and a large loft with a south view of the river. The basement includes two bedrooms (bunk and double bed each, sleep 8 total), a renovated bathroom, and a huge walkout rec room with games and a large home-theatre section, providing an ideal entertainment area for family and friends. New kitchen appliances include a dishwasher, oven/microwave, built-in full oven, supersize induction stove-top, plumb-in coffee maker, fridge, and an outdoor combo grill/smoker. All rooms have ceiling fans. The mudroom includes a closet with a washer and dryer. High-speed internet with strong Wi-Fi, three smart TV’s and DVD player support all entertainment needs. For the outdoors, enjoy a firepit, beach chairs, tubes, hammocks, and trails throughout the property. Do you like fishing and/or hunting? This place is your ultimate destination for an active stay! No need to drive anywhere: During fishing season, the river in your backyard is FULL of up to 20–22-pound Salmon and Steelhead, and during hunting season, the yard and woods across the river are your places for deer and turkey hunting. And on hot days, simply jump into the cold river… Ample parking. Pets Welcome for $150 pet fee. Non-smoking. RV can be parked by the pole barn and drained directly to the septic (Please notify us to discuss this if needed).
