Quiet and lovely double bedroom with en-suite bathroom within our family home, surrounded by fields in a large garden. Make use of the large family kitchen (with Aga during colder months) for coffee/tea or a meal. Your kids are invited to join our kids in the large play room and share the toys. Very close to Wrest Park and Shuttleworth House. Secure gated parking on large drive way. The space The room is on the ground floor within our family home. Access to the room is via the shared hall way. It is adjacent to an office room, our family kitchen and across the hallway is the play room. Our family bedrooms and bathrooms are on the first floor, but the space above your room is part of the landing, so there won't be shaking ceilings above you. Although we are a quiet family, we do have 2 children, one is 2.5 years old, and the other is 5.5 years old. There will be a few lively hours between 5:30pm and 8:30pm when our family gets home from work and nursery/school, dinner and bath time. And of course a hectic morning between 6:30am to 8am when we all try to get out of the house on time. We live ca half mile outside of the village, surrounded by fields. The view out of the bedrooms is gorgeous, with rabbits and deer almost within reach. Our garden is large with lots of different areas to sit and enjoy. We have plenty fruit trees and organic apples, plums, cherries, and pears are free for you to use during the seasons. There is a running track behind our house, just across a small field. You can make use of the TV in the play room after the kids have gone to bed (let us know so we can clean up the toys), or just enjoy a book and glass of wine in front of the fire place, or have dinner in the kitchen. The local pub is lovely and 10 mins walk away. We have a friendly cat. We have fast Starlink wifi. Guest access You can use your room and en-suite bathroom. This area is exclusively yours. You can share with us: - Front entrance - Kitchen, coffee, milk, tea, cooking/eating utensils and cooking basics like oil, vinegar, salt, pepper - Playroom with TV and guarded fire place (when kids are at nursery and school and after they went to bed at 8pm) - Books, board games - Garden - Outdoor dining area - Garden space - Driveway parking - A working space for you at a desk and office chair in a room adjacent to your private room (on request) - Ability to use baby care equipment (high chair, steam steriliser, changing table, baby monitor, etc) During your stay We are friendly and welcoming. But you lead on interaction and personal space needs. You can interact with us as much or as little as you like. Other things to note We have a cat which is allowed in all spaces in the house, so unsuitable perhaps for someone with cat allergy. Our kids are in full time care during the week, from 7:45am to 5pm, and not in the house. We are a family home and therefore we will not accept guests smoking on the property, drugs, parties, unplanned overnight guests, and being unreasonably often drunk. The village has also a church and a small well stocked Nisa coop corner shop. A cab to the nearest train station Flitwick is ca 20 mins and approx £25. We do have a bus in the village, but it comes only a few times a day.
