The house has been completely renovated, but the original stone walls and other characteristic elements such as the old tiled roof, the wooden roof or the hydraulic floor of the room have been preserved. All ceilings are lined with natural colored wood. This comfortable home is fully equipped and furnished in a cozy way. Through the entrance door you can access the living-dining room and the kitchen. This village is located in the northeast of the island of La Gomera. It's idyllic secluded from mass tourism. The house is located on the outskirts of the village of Hermigua, between the hamlets of Ibo-Alfaro and El Cerrillal, 1 km from the crossroads of the main road to the north (San Sebastián-Vallehermoso), near a rural hotel and next to a banana and avocados estate. The house is located at the top of the valley, in a quiet area with little traffic. From here, trails depart from which you can enjoy the magnificent views this area of the island offers. Nearby start several hiking trails, you can visit the famous Laurisilva forest (Los Aceviños and El Cedro), which are part of the Garajonay National Park. Another trail leads to the hermitage of San Juan, or down to Risco de Camacho to get to Meriga and Las Rosas. We also recommend a visit to the Abrante viewpoint (near Agulo), which offers breathtaking views of the sea and the neighboring island of Tenerife. The Garajonay Visitor Center, located in front of the entrance, is also interesting to visit. La Gomera is a gem to discover and a perfect place for rest and leisure, with an annual average temperature of 20-23 degrees. Garajonay National Park, with its Laurisilva forest in the north (17 nature reserves), and the sunny southern beaches deserve a visit. La Gomera can be reached by ferry (Fred Olsen y Armas) from Tenerife Sur in about 45 minutes. The distance from the island's capital, San Sebastián, to Hermigua is about 20 kilometers, about 35 minutes by car. The airport offers island flights from Tenerife and Gran Canaria (Binter) and is 37 km away.
