Description
Exclusive use of a beautiful Victorian family home and garden. The house is located minutes away from vibrant Chatsworth Road with a plethora of shops, bars, pubs and restaurants. This is a great base for family or friends to explore East London (including Hackney, Clapton, Shoreditch and Stratford); with easy access to central London via the Overground (Homerton Overground station is five minutes’ walk). The space On the ground floor there is a well-equipped kitchen, spacious double living room and access to the garden. The back garden has two seating areas, a bar, grass to play on and a handy outside toilet with a sink. Upstairs there is a beautifully renovated master bedroom, a bright second bedroom and luxurious bathroom with separate deep bath and walk-in shower. Master bedroom: king size bed, with plenty of space for a cot Second bedroom: Single bed, with additional full size single bed that pulls out, and/or space for a cot. Our listing is for a maximum of 4 guests but an additional infant can be accommodated (cot available on request). There are plenty of things to do locally. For example, within 15 minutes’ walk you’ll find: • Chatsworth Road high street with lively Sunday food market • The Adam and Eve – our local pub (one of many), barely 2 minutes’ walk with something for everyone • Hackney Wick Community Sauna – incredible not-for profit, offering a range of different sauna with a relaxing vibe • Chats Palace – thriving arts centre • Castle Cinema – independent art deco cinema • Sutton House – National Trust Tudor house • Hackney marshes and the Lea canal – green spaces to explore • Hackney Central – shops, clubs, bars and restaurants Longer walk or short journey with public/private transport: • London Fields Lido - heated outdoor swimming pool • Lea Valley Ice Centre – recently opened ice-skating centre • Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park (V&A, Sadler’s Wells, Velodrome, Swimming Pool, and loads more) • Broadway Market – famous bustling high street with weekend markets • Columbia Road – famous Sunday flower market • Victoria Park – one of London’s best parks with loads to see and do (boating lake, playgrounds, ornamental gardens, cafés, pubs and more) • The London Stadium – home ground of West Ham Football Club and world-class multi-use venue (music, sport, entertainment) built for the Olympics • Westfield Shopping Centre – perfect for retail therapy • Stronghold Climbing Wall – popular climbing wall on Broadway Market Transport links include: • Homerton Overground station (5 min walk) • City Airport (25 min drive) • Stansted Airport (50 min drive) • Stratford International train station (10 min drive) Guest access A third bedroom will be locked during your stay. The cellar is used for storage but will remain unlocked to provide access to services (electrical switchboard and mains water stopcock). Other things to note The house is perfect for families and groups of friends. It may not be suitable for those with mobility issues; there are stairs and steps to different levels. For those travelling with children, there are lots of toys and books which you are welcome to make use of. As with live here, we would ask you treat these as if they were your own. A travel cot and high chair are available on request. Note, there are not stairgates, so young children should be carefully supervised. There’s a choice of several great playgrounds within walking distance to keep the little ones busy. There is some pay and display on street parking (limited spaces), within 1 minute walk of the house. Directly outside the house there is resident permit holders parking only between 7:30 and 6:30 Monday and Friday.
