A cosy hideaway for quick access to the Northern Fells for hiking, biking, climbing, wild swimming and more! Welcome to our lovely home in Bassenthwaite, where you will stay in our ground floor double bedroom with private bathroom and private living space. There is offstreet parking in a cobbled courtyard outside your private entrance. We live in the floors upstairs but the ground floor is yours. We feel this is a great base for a couple looking to explore the local area for a quick getaway. The space We welcome you to our lovely home in Bassenthwaite, where you will stay in our ground floor double bedroom with private bathroom and private living space. We feel this is a great base for a couple looking to explore the local area for a quick getaway. The Space: Small cosy double bedroom Bathroom with separate bath and shower - enjoy a soak after a long day on the fells! Private hallway and living area where you will have access to a small fridge and microwave as well as some basic breakfast items (such as granola and fruit). There is a small sofa in this area and table and chairs as well as a small fireplace for extra cosiness! Private entrance where you can park your car in the courtyard (space for one car). There are beautiful views of Skiddaw and other fells from the front door and is within a short walk of a local pub in Bassenthwaite village for good food and drink. Keswick and Cockermouth are both 10 to 15 minutes drive away with plenty of restaurants and other amenities. There are lots of beautiful walks from the house including Skiddaw via Ullock Pike and Bassenthwaite Lake for wild swimming and other water sports. Guest access Private entrance to dedicated hallway and living area with adjoining bedroom and bathroom for guests sole use. During your stay Often we will be around in the upper floors but if not we can be contacted via airbnb chat. Other things to note Whilst up to 1 dog is allowed, we ask that any dogs coming to stay are well-behaved and quiet dogs. There is an additional fee for dogs for ware and tear but we ask that owners make a special effort to clean up excess hair etc.
