The Annex, A Country Escape in South Devon

The Annex forms part of our lovely countryside home. It is a quiet and peaceful self contained 2 bed 2 bath property with its own entrance, parking and garden area. It is situated just a short walk from the SW coastal path and a mile from the outstanding beaches of East Portlemouth and the vibrant seaside town of Salcombe, across the harbour. Nick and Sameena your hosts have recently taken over hosting themselves and will do their very best to make your stay a happy and relaxed time. The space The Annex is ideal for families or friends. It offers two double bedrooms and two bathrooms. The master bedroom (upstairs) with King size double and ensuite and the second bedroom (ground floor) with two singles, that can easily be configured as a super king-size double if required. Next to the second bedroom is the family bathroom. There is a travel cot for older babies and toddlers and on request a separate smaller bassinet can be supplied, suitable for newborns to approx 4 months. Finally, the living/dining area is a beautiful large open plan living space, with fully equipped kitchen/diner and wood burner for cosy times indoors. Sliding doors lead out from the kitchen area to the deck and garden where you can enjoy the peace and tranquility of the South Hams Area of Natural Beauty. Guest access The Annex is an self contained part of a larger property, the area for your use is clearly defined, has its own entrance and is obvious. It includes substantial parking and garden areas. Other things to note The closest shop is a Spar in East Chillington at the Texaco garage, it closes at 9pm. Tesco, Sainsbury and Waitrose all deliver to the property, so perhaps order online before you arrive, or do a shop yourself enroute. The nearest large supermarket is in Kingsbridge, where there is a Tesco and a Morrisons. Nearby eatery is The Pigs Nose Inn in East Prawle, but check opening times for food service on their website, they can be closed on Mondays and Tuesdays for food. Then there's a lovely new place called the Village Farm Cafe in East Portlemouth. It has become a real hub for the local community, local artisans and visitors. Early check-in and later check-out may be possible, don't hesitate to ask. We provide bath towels but not beach towels.
