There are also numerous walks you can take on the Vernante trails, from the simplest to those for more experienced hikers and even climbing. Let's not forget that Vernante is a municipality in the Maritime Alps Natural Park and therefore you can't miss a visit to the charming village of Palanfrè, protected by a centuries-old beech forest, where you can also buy delicious cheese. In summer, starting from Palanfrè, you can go on beautiful excursions alone or with nature guides, and in winter you can ski on a cross-country ski slope located at an altitude of 1400 meters, or go ski mountaineering or snowshoeing. Vernante can also be considered a starting point for many trips to nearby towns, some of which can also be reached by train. Vernante is about 7 kilometers from Limone Piemonte, which awaits you in winter with its beautiful ski slopes, ice skating and snowshoeing. In other seasons, interesting walks alone or with nature guides will amaze you. Robilante, a few km away, awaits you with three museums and numerous beautiful trails. Cuneo, on the other hand, is just 20 km away with its colorful Tuesday market.
