Our comfortable cabin is the perfect place to get-away to beautiful Homer, AK. This private cabin has a full kitchen and bath as well as a loft bedroom with a view of Kachemak Bay. The cabin is located on a shared property with our home which is ideal for providing assistance with anything you might need from your hosts. Guests describe our cabin as cute, cozy, charming, quiet, and with a great view, especially in the bedroom. There is a plush couch to relax and read, table and chairs for eating or writing (Yes! A couple of books have been written here), and a full kitchen. The bathroom has a shower, plenty of hot water, and fresh linens. We've heard the bed in the loft bedroom is incredibly comfortable with plush pillows and a down comforter. Guests have full access to the cabin, front porch, and parking area in front of the cabin. Kids are welcome to join in play with our children on the property. There is no smoking allowed on the property. Our home is nearby the cabin and you may see our vehicle come and go. You'll also see and maybe hear our chickens on the property. Although the upstairs loft bedroom is private and has stairs; the stairs are non-standard and not recommended for young children unless supervised or for older adults with mobility or balance issues. We love to meet guests and usually make a point to do so on the same day of your arrival. But for the most part it is a private space separate from our house and so we don't always cross paths. Please make a point to start a conversation if you'd like to hear more about life in Homer. Alaskans love to talk about this place because we love it here so much! East Hill is a gorgeous drive and worth the few extra minutes out of town. The cabin is under 10 minutes to town and the Spit. Just a bit further up the hill from the cabin is the Skyline lookout with vast views of the Bay and glaciers. Guests will need a car to stay at the cabin. Taking a taxi to and fro is possible as well but not recommended. We ask guests to please comply with ABSOLUTELY no smoking permitted in the cabin. Your deposit will be used for professional cleaning services if there is any evidence of smoking. You're probably glad we don't charge a cleaning fee. For this reason, we ask that you leave the cabin how you found it. Linens can be stripped and left in a pile. There are cleaning supplies under the sink to wipe down surfaces and detergent to wash dishes. We really appreciate having the cabin left tidy (and it usually is :-) Host may ask to see ID to verify Air BnB guest authenticity. Payment will need to be processed prior to arrival.
