Cabin Get-away in Homer

Our cabin is the perfect place to get-away to beautiful Homer, AK. Located centrally between town and Homer’s XC ski trail network at Ohlson Mtn. It is an authentic heavy timber hunting cabin that has been modernized to be warm & comfortable with a full kitchen and bath as well as a loft bedroom with a view of Kachemak Bay. It is private but located on a shared property with our home which is ideal for providing assistance with anything you may need. The space Guests describe our cabin as cute, cozy, charming, quiet, and with a great view, especially in the bedroom. There is a plush couch to relax and read, table and chairs for eating or writing (Yes! A couple of books have been written here), and a full kitchen. The bathroom has a shower, plenty of hot water, and fresh linens. We've heard the bed in the loft bedroom is incredibly comfortable with plush pillows and a down comforter. Guests have full access to the cabin, front porch, and parking area in front of the cabin. Kids are welcome to join in play with our children on the property. There is no smoking allowed on the property. Our home is nearby the cabin and you may see our vehicle come and go. In addition to friendly pets & chickens around you may see moose on the property. The upstairs loft bedroom offers a private space; however please note, the stairs are non-standard (steeper than typical) and not recommended for young children or for older adults with mobility/balance issues. Guest access Guests have full access to the cabin, front porch, and parking area in front of the cabin. Campers and Oversized vehicles: Currently the cabin parking is limited to standard size vehicles only. In most instances we cannot accommodate camper arrangements where additional guests would stay in a vehicle on the property. If you have concerns about arrangements like this please communicate with us before booking. There is no smoking allowed on the property. Our home is nearby the cabin and you may see our vehicle come and go. You may also see our chickens wandering the property. Other things to note Oversize vehicles: If you have a camper or oversize vehicle, please communicate that before booking as the size & shape of the driveway may pose a challenge. Steep stairs: The stairs to the loft bedroom are steeper than typical and not advised for young children or for older adults with mobility/balance issues. No cleaning fee: You're probably glad we don't charge a cleaning fee like most AirBnBs now seem to so please help us keep it that way by leaving the place in good shape. Host may ask to see ID to verify Air BnB guest authenticity. Payment will need to be processed prior to arrival.
