Only 90 minutes from Cairns, the Tablelands offers a unique experience including pristine crater lakes, swimming holes, waterfalls, distilleries and breweries. Taste the local produce and indulge in a selection of cheeses, fruits, meats and chocolates from our many speciality cafes and eateries. Scenic walking tracks and trails are plentiful for all, or challenge yourself to more difficult terrain within this mountainous region. A detailed guest information book at the cottage will have you planning out the days for the duration of your stay! The cottage is conveniently located in one of the original tree lined streets of Atherton. All town amenities are within easy walking distance from the Cottage, with Atherton’s Main Street only a couple of hundred meters away. Wagtail Cottage is beautifully furnished throughout with your comfort in mind. It boasts two generously sized bedrooms with clean mattresses, bedding and linen. We can accomodate 4 guests within these two main bedrooms. The master bedroom has integrated reading lights and a wall mounted television. Our third bedroom is a library and office space, but doubles as a third sleeping space with a king single bed. There are two living areas which include the front sun and sitting room, and a lounge area. Both televisions have Netflix included and connected, plus the option to stream other services should you wish . This space opens to a well-equipped kitchen with a raked ceiling, breakfast bar and new appliances, including a dishwasher and Nespresso coffee machine. Basic pantry staples are provided for your cooking needs. The cottage comes equipped with a plentiful selection of books and board games to enjoy at your leisure. WiFi is connected for your convenience. Our bathroom has a shower over bath combination and plenty of sink and bench space. A perfect space to reset after a day full of exploring! There is a separate toilet and laundry for use during your stay, with washing machine and dryer facilities. The front garden is something that we are truly proud of and upon entering, provides you with a sense of tranquility. Wander through the pathways lined by the hydrangeas, gardenias and camellias as you enjoy a cup of tea or an afternoon drink under the canopy of the large Satin Ash.
