Ten meters of sliding glass doors open directly onto an enormous covered deck that spans the width of the house. Culburra Beach House feels more like a boutique resort than a house. The property has been meticulously designed with entertainment and fun in mind. The beach-front position is very private, with uninterrupted views of beach and mountains beyond. Take in the view from the sunny main deck protected from the southerly and nor'easter winds. The combined floor area totals an enormous 90m2 and the vaulted ceilings create an incredible open feeling and help to frame the breath-taking views of the beach, ocean and mountains. ON THE DECK The front deck is protected from the southerly and nor'easter winds so you won't have to pack up and move inside if the winds pick up. So you don't have to step away from the view, the deck boasts a generous dining table, an 5-burner Beefeater BBQ and bar fridge - everything you will need to chargrill to your heart's content. Watch the waves, surfers and sunsets, and you might catch a glimpse of the dolphins and whales that frequently pass Tilbury Cove. CHEF'S KITCHEN & DINING AREA Culburra Beach House kitchen is to die for. There are commercial stainless steel benches, a huge 140cm double fridge, 120cm double gas oven with simmer plate (doubles as a fantastic wok burner), quality pots, pans and knives, a double drawer dishwasher and a Nespresso coffee machine and milk frother (so don't forget to bring lots of capsules). The dining area includes a large round dining table which seats 8 and can extend to seat up to 14. There is also a pantry stocked with a wide range of the basics including premium condiments, spices and baking ingredients as well as an array of cleaning products. HUGE LOUNGE ROOM & FIRE PLACE Comfortable oversized 'swallow-you-up' linen sofas are perfectly positioned to enjoy the stunning views, the large fireplace or the 50 inch TV. Build a roaring fire for a cozy winter night, an intimate glass of wine or for toasting marshmallows. Culburra Beach House also comes with a plentiful supply of fire wood and fire starting equipment included for your use. 4 BEDROOMS & PLAY ROOM 1 x king bedroom 2 x queen bedrooms 1 x large playroom with 6 single bunk beds All beds in Culburra House are fitted with Sheridan's gorgeous 100% linen sheet sets, luxurious 100% Australian wool underlays (for extra snugness and warmth in the winter), feather duvets, pillows and a cozy alpaca throw. The games room includes 2 sets of large triple bunks (please check out the photos as these aren't your ordinary bunk beds and are suitable for adults as well). Each single bunk bed comes with a light and power points for your phone, ipad or laptop. The playroom has a full size slate pool table that converts into a ping pong table and a large flatscreen TV with DVD player to keep the kids entertained. BATHROOMS, TOILETS & OUTDOOR SHOWER Culburra Beach House has two indoor bathrooms and a seperate toilet. One bathroom boasts a giant stone bath with an enormous 12'' shower-head. The second bathroom includes a shower with toilet. There is also a fabulous outdoor hot and cold shower with ocean views and a stainless steel rinsing station for your wetsuit, snorkelling gear or cozzie. If you're lucky enough to have a hunter-gatherer or two in your group, Culburra is known for its great fishing and crays, so the rinsing station is the perfect place to clean your fish, prawns, crabs and lobsters! 2 LARGE OUTDOOR ENTERTAINING AREAS If you step away from the deck, you'll be spoilt for choice with two other discrete outdoor entertaining areas at Culburra Beach House. The Tilbury Lounge is situated overlooking the beach and ocean and includes two 4-seater lounges and one 2-seater lounge. There is a fire pit that is perfect when sharing an intimate drink, toasting marshmallows or to slow cook your dinner with the giant Brazilian BBQ style skewers. The Penguin Lounge is situated outside the playroom and includes a large table and plenty of seating if you're looking for a quieter place to read a book or just sit and reflect. DOGS WELCOME OF COURSE We love dogs and they are very welcome at Culburra Beach House (although we do ask that you not to let them on the furniture or the beds). The house has access to two outstanding beaches which are dog friendly at all times and leash free mornings and evenings. Culburra House also has a fully enclosed and secure garden so your furry friends can safely roam and explore. We also supply a selection of bowls and a few doggy toys. UNIQUE POSITION - PRIVATE, UNRIVALLED VIEWS, SUNSETS & PROTECTED FROM THE WIND The property is tucked snuggly into Tilbury Cove which means it is totally protected from the southerly and nor'easter winds. When everyone else has no choice but to batten down the hatches and retire indoors, you will still be able to keep the sliding glass doors open and sit out on the deck. Culburra Beach House faces northwest and is filled with gorgeous sunshine through the day, particularly priceless in the winter months. You will also get to enjoy something very few houses on the east coast of Australia get to experience. You can watch the magnificent sun setting over the beach and ocean, perfectly timed for wine o'clock. VERY PRIVATE POSITION WITH TWO BEACH ACCESS High bamboo surrounds the property and affords unique privacy, and with a grassy reserve bordering one side of the property. Two beaches are within a few seconds walk. As one guests put it in their review, "you hear waves in stereo!" Directly in front is Tilbury Cove which is the most protected and safest part of Culburra Beach to swim, great for snorkelling and is also one of the best spots to free dive for lobster on the South Coast. On the opposite side of the road is a path leading to Warrain Surf Beach (home to famous Wright surfing clan). So, if the waves on one beach are a little too big or small for your liking or it's a bit blowy, you can always nip over to the other one! Guest access Guests have access to the entire house Other things to note TERMS & CONDITIONS EXCESSIVE NOISE, PARTIES & ADDITIONAL VISITORS - The house is strictly intended for use of the overnight guests only. Parties are prohibited. The sound of people having fun and playing music is of course acceptable. However loud thumping ‘party’ noise or any loud noise of any kind that disturbs our neighbours will not be tolerated. GUESTS UNDER THE AGE OF 30 – We are pleased to welcome guests of all ages. To help de-risk the policy above, we required that if the majority of guests staying are under 30 that you please notify us and provide a breakdown of names and ages of all guests. We may ask for a security deposit. NOISE MONITORS have been installed, if the noise reaches an unacceptable level we will contact you. If you do not answer the phone and the noise continues then power to the house can be remotely turned off. CCTV CAMERAS - The outside areas of Culburra Beach House are monitored by CCTV cameras.
