The space Our home is located in the heart of Mena, within walking distance to the beautiful city park that has a splash pad and plenty of playground equipment for the kids. The house is on a corner lot in a quiet neighborhood with a large private backyard and patio area for the family to hang out, especially making s’mores over the fire pit. We do supply firewood. As you make your way inside, you’ll be shocked at how big the living space is. There are three full bedrooms downstairs, one is a queen bed and the other two are king beds. Each bedroom has a smart TV. We have a full kitchen to enjoy a nice meal with your family or friends. Large laundry room with a washer/dryer and a desk for working. There is one full bathroom downstairs. We do have stairs leading up to the loft, which is a great place for kids to hang out. There is a small pullout couch upstairs and an air mattress. One full bathroom upstairs. We know how important it is to be able to bring your fur babies with you so we are pet friendly! Guest access Guests have access to the entire house and yard. Free street parking and plenty of parking on the premises. Travel through the Talimena National Scenic Byway as you make your way up to Queen Wilhelmina State Park – a 460 acre wilderness known to have some of the best fishing in the south for trout and bass. If you’re feeling really ambitious, climb up one of the many trails leading up to Rich Mountain – Arkansas’ second highest peak! As a bonus, you might even encounter wildlife – including deer, turkey, bears, quail, foxes, raccoons, groundhogs, chipmunks, and gray squirrels just to name a few! Don’t mind a longer drive? Plan a visit over to Crater of Diamonds State Park – one of the only places in the world where you can search for diamonds from their original volcanic source. Since its opening in 1972, more than 33,100 diamonds have been found including Uncle Sam – a 40.23 carat diamond which is the largest ever unearthed in the USA! For a more secluded experience, we recommend going to Little Missouri Falls. Expect to see cascading waterfalls, beautiful wild magnolias, and a network of trails revealing the beauty of the all-encompassing mountains.
