Nestled on a family lifestyle property, enjoy the best of both worlds in a private haven offering a home away from home, with the added bonus of a tennis court for your exclusive use and pool table to enjoy at your leisure throughout your stay. Whether it’s a romantic getaway, work base or a fun family stay, you’ll find everything you need! The space A stylish, comfortable and spacious guesthouse situated on 4 acres in picturesque Ohoka. Positioned privately with a lovely outlook to the tennis court, get ready to relax and unwind. Enjoy the rural surroundings, including paddocks which are home to our alpaca and cheeky goats, as well as chooks to ensure fresh eggs are always on hand! Inside, the log burner makes for cosy winter nights with plenty of comfy seating, while in the warmer months enjoy dining outside in the afternoon sun. Modern and fully double glazed, heating is provided in the main living, bedrooms and bathroom. Two large bedrooms offer exceptionally comfortable accommodation, with the main bedroom featuring a king size bed, and the second bedroom home to two king single beds. A full kitchen is available for your culinary creations, or alternatively there is a local pub and takeaways a couple of minutes drive away at Mandeville. A wider selection of eating options are 12 minutes away in the township of Rangiora as well as a boutique cinema, or head into Christchurch city for an abundance of choice. An incredible spot to use as a base to explore Canterbury, whether it's seeing all that Christchurch City has to offer, or heading North to enjoy the incredible the Waipara Wine Valley with it's multitude of vineyards and restaurants, just a half hour away. With various wedding venues in the area, we are a popular choice to host bride and groom or their guests! Hanmer Springs is a fabulous day trip, home to the famous thermal hot pools, although there are a variety of hikes to enjoy in the area also. Travel time approximately 1 hour 40 minutes. For winter endeavours, Mt Hutt is an easy 1 hour 40 drive making daily snow adventures accessible. There are also a number of club fields even closer. The Pavilion is well set up to provide for the most romantic of getaways, mini-breaks for friends, a work base while travelling, or a fun family stay. We look forward to hosting you! Guest access You'll have full and sole access to The Pavilion, exclusive use of the tennis court and the lawns immediately around the court and to the rear of the guesthouse. Situated on land set apart from the host house by hedges, a natural separation is apparent. Other things to note An important member of our family is our beautiful Irish terrior Bono. He is exceptionally friendly, rarely barks and just loves people (and rabbits). He's gentle and great with children. Given his life here has been spent wandering the length and breadth of his kingdom, we hope you won't mind him visiting you.
