Fairview Bell Tent

Spend a night nestled in the long grass at the end of our family garden looking out over the horse field down towards the North Downs. Our lovely 5m bell tent is the perfect escape for a weekend getaway. This is a traditional canvas bell tent with a central timber pole, wooden pegs and twinkling festoon lights. Sleeps 3/4 comfortably but we only have 3 raised mattresses, the 4th would be a blow up bed. We have an outside loo tent with compost loo (sawdust provided) but no camping shower. The space This is our little piece of the English countryside complete with apple and damsons trees You’re more than welcome to help yourself if you are staying at the right time of year. We have three children and a dog to keep you company! Our garden has a trampoline, swings (albeit they’re now a bit old!) and a 12ft splash pool with safety steps. (If using the pool please remove the steps after use for safety reasons). Guest access Large driveway with a designated parking area. Other things to note We have an old dog who is very friendly but slightly blind so don’t be offended if he barks at you initially when he sees you, he barks at the postman every day and he brings biscuits! The bell tent comes with an outside table and chairs and a couple of fold out chairs in the tent. Please note that this tent has no kitchen or cooking facilities. We suggest you bring your own camping stove to use on the metal table outside the tent. Please be aware that there is long dry grass around the tent so ensure any matches are disposed off appropriately. We will supply a simply picnic set of 3 x mugs, small plates, cutlery, salt & pepper. For an additional price we can set up a kitchen tent for you to use. Please ask for more information if you think this will be of interest. Please be aware that there is no electricity in the tent so we recommend you bringing a battery charging pack for your phone. There is an outside socket at the back of our house which you can use if required but this is outside so can only be used in dry weather. The tent is made from white canvas and as such it does get light very early so if you want to sleep as long as possible in the morning we suggest packing an eye mask!
