The Skyline House

'Skyline' as we call it, is a peaceful cozy full sized house with all the amenities, and plenty of room for extended families or friend groups. The house offers a private setting away from the hustle of the resort, with extensive hiking (AT), snowmobiling (ITS), and mountain biking trails that leave right from the back yard. We are just three miles from Sugarloaf ski resort, and 4 miles to Stratton for groceries. The house is an amazing basecamp for a myriad of Maine outdoor adventures. The space The house has a mud room and kitchen attached to a large dinning and living space. Sliding glass doors lead to an outside deck. There is a separate bedroom/tv room on the first floor with access to a full bathroom. This is a good layout for those who have mobility concerns. Up stairs there is a half bath, and three bedrooms. One of the bedrooms is the master bedroom, with a closet and cathedral ceiling and large windows. Another room has bunk beds, and is great space for kids. There is parking for at least 5 cars, a basement with ping pong and washer dryer. The access to wilderness and a myriad of biking/hiking/skiing/snowmobiling trails that leave from the yard, make it a very special location. Guest access Guests can use the entire house. Unfortunately our insurance will not let guests use the wood sauna in the back yard or wood stove. Our ski/bike gear is stored in the basement. We ask quests to refrain from using our gear. The mountain has ski or bike rentals if you need to gear up.
