As the name suggests, this area is full of lakes - 23 to be exact, giving many homes lakefront views.  Enjoy fine dining and shopping in the quaint ambience created by old-fashioned lamps, colorful striped awnings and brick sidewalks. The Main Street Playhouse in Miami Lakes is right amidst the quaint city center, and draws audiences to enjoy theater experiences of all kinds and for all ages. Nurturing its commitment to green living, the Town of Miami Lakes operates the Miami Lakes Moover on two routes throughout town! This FREE bus operates as a fixed-route circulator providing connections to existing Metrobus stops and Metrorail, via the Ludlam Limited Route, with a terminal point at Main Street. The Miami Lakes Moover runs Monday through Friday during peak morning (6:00-10:00AM) and peak evening (2:15-7:00PM) travel periods circulating every 35-40 minutes.
