Beautiful, quiet cottage nestled in a rural hamlet of Bagshaw in the Peak District, near to Castleton and Mam Tor and very close to the village of Sparrowpit. Surrounded by farmland and within easy reach of Chapel-en-le-Frith and Buxton, it is a great base for walkers and families wishing to explore the area. The cottage has a pretty garden with ponds and lovely views of Eccles Pike, Combs Moss and Ladder Hill. The space Grandad’s House is a detached cottage with three bedrooms (double / twin / single), bathroom with a roll top bath, dining room and kitchen. Outside there are patios with views of the surrounding hillside, lawns and a stream leading to the pond. Guest access Please make use of the cottage and garden. The top drive and paddock is out of bounds, as is the garage and workshop. Other things to note There are two folders with all the information you should need for your stay in the dining room. If any house-related issues arise during your stay please send a message on Airbnb and we will do our best to help. If you wish to visit the cottage with children, please contact us before booking to discuss your requirements, as it may not always be suitable for younger guests. Downstairs bedrooms are accessed by one step. There is also an upstairs bedroom. The kitchen, dining room and bathroom are all accessed from the ground floor. However, the main living area is on the first floor, up a flight of stairs. PLEASE NOTE: There are two ponds in the garden. Take care not to fall in. The Cottage is in a rural location with sheep and/or horses in a neighbouring field. Please don't feed the animals. The Cottage is accessed by a single track lane. Please be mindful of other road users when driving up and down the hill from Bagshaw. The Cottage has a septic tank. Please ensure that you do not put bleach down the toilet. Please do not flush wipes or sanitary products, but use the bin provided. Access to the garden is up steps and across stepping stones. The garden is raised and there is a potential danger of falling. WIFI: There is WiFi at the property but due to the rural location it can, at times, be limited and is not always reliable for working from home or for supporting a high number of devices at the same time. TV: Both televisions have access to Freeview channels and there is also a DVD player in the living room upstairs. Exact Location: The Cottage is located in the hamlet of Bagshaw, close to Sparrowpit. The address provided on the listing is not exact due to the rural location. The What Three Words Link will be available on the arrival information 48 hours before your arrival date- this is the best way to find the cottage. Check in is from 3pm.
