The Studio Majors Creek

Located on the edge of Majors Creek village and nestled in 1.5 acres of peaceful garden, is The Studio. This welcoming, comfortable and private one bedroom, one bathroom storybook studio has recently been renovated. The Studio boasts 12ft ceilings, an abundance of natural light, genuine vintage farmhouse furniture, a private outdoor fire pit and many other extras such as an open pantry. Majors Creek is located 15kms from Braidwood. Transport can be arranged. The space Built by local builder Murray Harrax approximately 24 years ago, the storybook cottage and studio look like they belong in a fairytale. The Studio is a separate building with private access and guests have the entire space including parking. The bathroom, kitchen, dining and living areas are on the lower level with the bedroom, study, dresser and futon upstairs. The property has recently been renovated including a new bathroom, windows, kitchen and paint. The 1.5 acres of native, cottage and succulent gardens are private and relaxing and attract an abundance of wildlife such as kangaroos, wombats, echidnas, bleating tree frogs and birds such as a pair of resident kookaburras, satin bower birds, owls, gang gangs and black cockatoos. We know that when you come back to The Studio after a day out you want to feel at home. We’ve made sure all of the equipment and luxuries that you love (and may need) await. The property has extras such as an open pantry (staples, local options, frozen meals, ice cream), a pod coffee machine, a picnic basket, French linen bedding, Sheridan towels and fluffy robes, al.ive cleaning and body products and much more. And of course we have Netflix, Foxtel Go and other streaming services. Guest access Guests will have the entire studio to themselves including private entry. The Studio’s current artist in residence is award winning local artist Jo Parsons from Gallery 103. 2023 was a year of expansion for Jo, where she opened her own gallery in the main street of Braidwood.
