Seaclusion Bunkie- Off Grid Tranquility

Reconnect with nature at this unforgettable location where you can experience the tranquility of our beach and the shoreline of Passamaquoddy bay The space Seaclusion Bunkie is an off grid tiny home /bunkie style property situated about 25-30 ft from the high water mark on Passamaquoddy Bay. You will be as close as it is reasonable to build on a tidal bay! The bunkie consists of a downstairs with two leather arm chairs, as well as a small but well stocked kitchen area with all you would expect when glamping. There is a small microwave, Breville mini toaster oven, toaster, electric kettle and Keurig coffee machine (A selection of coffee pods is supplied). Pots & pans, crockery and utensils . Power to the above appliances is from a 2KW Solar generator with an addition 2KW Battery expansion module, for a total of around 4KWS. These are connected to 2 solar panels on the roof which should keep you with adequate power if used responsibly. There is also the ability to plug in a small 2KW gas powered generator outside to charge the batteries inside should the sun be absent for any length of time. Upstairs you will find a queen size bed with duvet, bedside tables with lights and plugs to charge your phone and iPads etc. There is normally no heating available for the bunkie! with the setup as described but if you can stand the noise of the small gas generator running outside it would be possible to run a small electric heater inside for a few hours. There is no running water in the bunkie but a water tower and bottle water will be available and provided. There is a good sized deck around the front and side of the building, and a 10ft x 12ft screened in pergola is planned for installation at the start of the season (2025) A short distance from the bunkie is a small bathroom with a chemical port-a-potti and foot pump operated sink for hand washing. A short 5-6 minute walk uphill or 1 minute drive to our cottage you will find a containerized full bathroom with hot and cold running water, a shower and toilet. This bathroom is for the sole use of Seaclusion’s guests, and has shampoo, body soap and hand soap provided along with towels etc.
