Escape to our secluded retreat cottage in the heart of Cornwall. Set atop a hill with sea views, this modern haven offers peace, comfort, and a touch of farm life. Meet our friendly goats and chickens, relax in the wood-fired hot tub, and enjoy the private garden. With two ensuite bedrooms, a full kitchen, and cozy lounge, it’s perfect for couples or families. Artists, musicians, and photographers will love the creative energy of our 8-acre smallholding. Your Cornish getaway awaits! The space Welcome to our secluded cottage, nestled on an 8-acre farm, separate from our main property. The cottage has two comfortable bedrooms: a main room with a king-sized bed and a twin bedroom, both featuring ensuite bathrooms. In the lounge, you’ll find two fold-down double sofa beds available for additional guests if needed. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you might need: a fridge, freezer, microwave, range cooker, cookware, crockery, and even bakeware for those who enjoy baking on holiday. The utility room includes a washer-dryer, ironing board, iron, clothes rack. Relax in the lounge with a 55-inch smart TV, fibre Wi-Fi, and a selection of games and blankets for cozy nights in. Step outside onto the patio, in the private garden, where you’ll be greeted by distant sea views, a wood-fired hot tub for up to six people (bring your logs if you'd like to use this) loungers, and a charcoal barbecue. You’ll also enjoy watching our friendly chickens and goats nearby, with the alpacas grazing just a little further away. Guest access The cottage is self contained, you are welcome to use any and all of the space in there, and it has its own private, non overlooked garden. Other things to note Our smallholding is more than just a place to stay – it's an extension of our creative and sustainable way of life. We're an artist and a musician, and Maryann is a professional photographer. Our love for animals and nature inspires us every day, and our little farm is filled with our pets – from the lively chickens and goats to our alpacas, each one a character in its own right. We enjoy fresh eggs and are working towards a sustainable, “grow-your-own” lifestyle, taking steps each season to get closer to our goal. If you’re musically inclined, feel free to ask about having some instruments available during your stay! We’d love to share a bit of our creative world with you, whether it’s a guitar for a quiet evening on the patio or other instruments to explore your musical side. And for those interested in photography, Maryann is available to capture special moments of your visit with a photoshoot, set against the beautiful surroundings of our smallholding – perhaps even with a few of our friendly animals joining in.
