Exclusivity. Anonymity. Serenity. Our guesthouse 3.5 hrs from Manila is the perfect place for families or friends to enjoy the charm of Laiya's coastline. Nestled against secluded lush hillside facing Tayabas Bay, we are situated in vicinity of Verde Island Passage, known for marine biodiversity. Complete kitchen amenities, grill, spacious showers with hot water. Swim and snorkel with fish within a few meters of the shore, yoga by the sea, catch a sunset, roam along rocks. Pets welcome. The space Our "twin villas" are 2 welcoming guesthouses that sit side by side facing the sea. Stay in total of 6 spacious bedrooms (4 with sea views, 2 with garden view). There are 4 full bathrooms (2 on ground and 2 on second floor), each with shower and toilet with bidet. The house architecture features reclaimed hardwood collected from centuries-old houses around the Philippines and the interiors are lovingly furnished with locally-crafted furniture. Relax and savor time with loved ones in a lush location where you can still see living sea creatures and untouched nature. The waters are still (most often) very clear and calm so please help preserve the beach. The natural cove in front of the house is a destination for weekend visitors and very rejuvenating, with water shallow enough for swimming and safe for children. The shore is pebbly with stones and corals, so please bring watershoes to protect your feet. Guests have full access to the whole property with ample garden spaces. The place is generally senior-friendly, but there are stairs to the bedrooms which are all on the second floor. Unfortunately we do not have ownership of the beach, and sometimes the guests of neighboring resorts walk over and swim in front of the house. We do have a friendly neighbor arrangement of priority for our guests' privacy in our own beachfront. This needs regular reinforcement, so please inform our caretaker if you have concerns. Videoke on the cove is not allowed past 10 PM (if you experience this disturbance, please note it so we can report it to local barangay). There are other activities you can hire on the cove such as massage service, boat trips, kayak rentals, etc. The area is quote secluded so there are very few commercial establishments nearby. We can provide a detailed guide upon booking. Guest access The drive involves a steep dirt road. Guests can park their vehicles in designated slots and enter through a flat walking path that leads into the property, past a main house to the guesthouses. Other things to note There are 2 rooms at the back of the house with a bunk bed for driver / maid staff. Please bring your own snorkeling gear. There are very few restaurants in the area so bringing your own food is recommended. We can provide details on recommended restaurants. Filipino food delivery available from Pipisik (resort and resto). The nearest convenience store is Alfamart, a 15-minute drive. Food tray is available upon special arrangement. We have a barbecue grill and can provide charcoal. Please bring your own ice especially for big groups, if you need a lot of ice throughout your stay.
