The space The comfortable and well-furnished living room features a clean-burning biofuel fireplace in the living room that is perfect on cold days and chilly nights. Although the house has central heating, the fireplace takes coziness to the next level. Note: there is a surcharge for use of the fireplace, but it's well worth it. Please inquire with the host about that. The kitchen is well-equipped for cooking and baking. It's stocked with olive oil, vinegars, salt & pepper, sugar, regular coffee, a drip coffee maker, a Bialetti espresso maker, assorted teas (herbal, green, and black tea), and a blender. There is a comfy eat-in kitchen, but when the weather permits, dining al fresco on the deck cannot be beat! The guest bedroom features a standard-size Queen bed (60" x 80"). Medium-firm mattress with soft memory foam topper dressed in crisp 100% cotton sheets with fluffy down pillows, dresser, closet space, and luggage rack. The bathroom has a rain-style shower head and a luxurious custom teak platform underfoot. Shampoo, conditioner, and bath gel are supplied by the host. When you step outside the French doors to the 240 square foot deck, you'll appreciate the close connection to nature. There are two comfortable chaise lounges that are perfect for sunbathing, reading, enjoying a beverage, and generally relaxing. The outdoor dining table is the perfect spot to enjoy a meal surrounded by redwood trees, bamboo, ferns, geraniums, and roses. And there is an eight-foot sunbrella if you prefer shade. The Garden Cottage accommodates a maximum of 2 guests. Exceptions can be made occasionally. Message the host to inquire. Unlike many homes in the area, the Garden Cottage is situated on a relatively level lot. There are only three porch steps leading into the main living area. In the yard, there are seven landscaped stone steps that lead to a tranquil Japanese maple-covered pond where goldfish swim among waterlilies and other aquatic plants. This little area is super charming, magical even… For added peace of mind, I strongly recommend that you purchase travel insurance offered by Airbnb at checkout. This coverage can help protect against losses due to illness or inclement weather, especially considering the firm cancellation policy. Guest access The entire space is at your disposal with the exception of one room, which is marked as private. The rest of the cottage, decks, front yard and backyard are all yours to enjoy!
