Get away from the crowds! Private, secluded upscale waterfront cottage on ~5 acres; pool/hot tub feet from the back door (hot tub open year round). Waterview from most rooms. Direct Chesapeake Bay access on property via dock / kayak launch. ~15 mins to downtown. Fish/crab, kayak, screened porch views, relax by the pool, fire pit or hot tub with a drink. Bring your boat - marina ~4 mi away - put-in there & tie-up at our pier! The space Gorgeous sunrises and abundant wildlife await you in the morning as you look over the bay from the dock or the porch. Pull a kayak directly into the bay via the sandy launch area. ~5 acres of room to run around and explore. Modern amenities with fast Internet and WiFi throughout the house, as well as Sonos to power music on the porch / pool area. Internet-enabled TV with Amazon Prime, YouTube TV, and Netflix pre-loaded to stream movies or your favorite TV shows at night. There are multiple kayaks (including 1 tandem), crab pot, a charcoal grill, a fire pit and 2 adult bikes for your use. From early to mid April through mid to late October the pool is open (we can close it later if needed - it is not heated, however). There is also a professionally maintained hot tub that is open year-round. If you'd like to bring your boat, you can tie-up at the end of our pier. 3 to 4 feet of water at mean low tide. Marina ~4 miles away. We also have a lacrosse goal and a basketball hoop on the property for our guests to enjoy. The Cottage is the only rental on the property. Downtown Mathews, VA is about 12 minutes away. Order directly from the InstaCart app on your way in and pickup at Food Lion on your way to the Cottage....eliminates the dreaded post-unpacking grocery store run. Our pool folks generally come on Fridays. Our lawn folks generally come on either Thursday or Fridays. There will very occasionally be other maintenance folks on property should an item need repair or upkeep work.
