Hidden Treasure

The "Hidden Treasure" is only ¼ hour from Niort, 1 ¼ hours from La Rochelle, 2 hours from Bordeaux (TGV) and 2 ¼ hours from Paris (TGV). It is an ideal place for a relaxing stay with family, friends or comfortable accommodation for colleagues on retreat. As soon as you arrive, you will be charmed by the calm and elegance of this peaceful environment. Nestled in an enchanting setting, “Hidden Treasure” offers the space you need to fully recharge your batteries. The space The house was built in the 1800's or before. It has been completely renovated. Upon arrival you will enter into a long "Couloir" which goes through the house and reaches the "Hidden Treasure" the private, multi-terraced garden. On the ground floor there is a large dining room with eight chairs. On the opposite side there is a clothes washer and dryer in a separate utility room. There is a large well equipped kitchen with a granite island for six people and an attached utility room for kitchen storage. Opposite the kitchen is a relaxing living toom with TV and direct access to the garden. There is a DVD player and a library of vintage DVD's. The TV is equipped with cable (Orange and Canal+). There is one toilet on the ground floor. On the second floor there are five bedrooms. all different in style. Three of the bedrooms have king size double beds (180 x 200 cm), one bedroom has a sofa bed (140 x 200 cm), that last bedroom with an elevated bed (140 x 200 cm). There is ample storage in all rooms. The master bedroom has an en-suite bathroom with bath and large shower. The toilet can be accessed from the bedroom or from the hallway making it available form communal use. You will also find an abundance of reading material in this room. There is an additional bathroom with a bath and a third bathroom with a shower. There is an additional toilet on this floor, making three in total. There are a selection of board games available for use. Directly outside of the kitchen is a patio, with steps up to the garden. The garden is well equipped with furniture for dining and relaxing. At the base of the garden is a separate patio equipped with a bistro table with a parasol. The house is an old house with thick walls. There are five WiFi routers which serve all of the rooms in the house. Mobile phone reception is not always reliable inside the house due to the wall thickness. Guest access Guests are free to use the entire house with the exception of the attic, garage, office and cellar. Other things to note If guests would like to have breakfast or evening meals provided, this can be arranged directly with the co-host, Charlotte. There is a baby bed and high chair available.
