The Penfold

The Penfold is just right for a couple. Located in the peaceful village of Sawdon, the Penfold is central for the North Yorkshire coast, moors, forest and market towns of Thornton Dale, Pickering and Malton. Inside there is a sitting room, kitchen, shower room and double bedroom. You can hear the sound of garden birds in this peaceful and special place. Susan provides a welcome hamper of goodies. Freshly decorated and fully of quirky things, an adventure awaits you in this rustic getaway. The space The Penfold is located across the drive and is an independent building with its own facilities, outside terrace and dedicated parking space. You have two steps up into the sitting room which has electric radiators and an electric stove for chilly evenings, a TV with DVD selection, stereo with CD selection, comfy sofa, dining table and two chairs. The kitchen and shower room are on the same level. The kitchen cooking facilities are an airfyer, microwave oven, hot plate and toaster. Please be mindful that there are very limited cooking facilities so extensive cooking is not encouraged or practical. A welcome hamper which includes fresh milk, homemade museli, fresh bread, butter preserve and tea /coffee are provided. The shower room has a large walk in shower, loo and basin plus a full length electric towel rail. There are four steps up to the double bedroom which has a built in wardrobe, luggage rack, hair dryer and hot water bottle. The comfy double bed has a feather duvet and four pillows. All the bed linen is dried in the fresh country air wherever possible. Guest access You have the whole of The Penfold, dedicated parking, your own terrace, secret outside dining and garden behind the barn. Please note that the living area is accessible via two steps and the bedroom via four steps which may not be suitable for individuals with mobility issues. Other things to note I have two friendly Bedlington terrier dogs and a blue cat. Please respect the no smoking policy.
