Located in one of the most desirable areas of Northern Michigan, a 1939 cedar log cabin located on Route 27. A spring creek with a beautiful waterfall in the front yard that runs to the Sturgeon River across the street. The property is 13 acres (to the north) available for exploring. There is a 30amp RV plug on the side of the cabin for an additional fee. Pump out and propane in town at the campground. The campground also has a laundry. Boots are useful as it can be muddy in the woods. The space Modern bath(new in 2020) and eat in kitchen. Open concept plan with two beds in cozy nooks, one queen and one double. Living area with seating for 4 and desk. Small TV with Directv, DVD player and a collection of movies, books and a few games. WiFi. Linens and Towels provided. Kitchen stocked with everything you need to cook, grill and firepit. Please be aware we are located on a road with a little traffic and this cabin is not “secluded” Guest access Wolverine is conveniently located directly off of I-75 exit 301, north of Gaylord, south of Indian River. We recommend using the Wolverine exit as your GPS may suggest the Vanderbilt exit. The road is a bit bumpy on 27 north of Vanderbilt. We are only 1 mile south of the Wolverine exit on 27. Fish in Sturgeon River directly across the street! Kayak launch one mile north in Wolverine Park. Cabin is within easy driving distance to Burt Lake State Park, City of Petoskey, Harbor Springs, Tunnel of Trees and two ski resorts that offer summer activities. 30 miles to the Mackinac Bridge, Mackinac City and ferry boats to Mackinac Island. Easy access to the UP. Other things to note Downtown Wolverine offers a river outfitter offering access to the Sturgeon River via Kayak, Raft and tube, with return transport. The North Central State Trail extends for 62 miles and connects Gaylord to Mackinaw City running right thru Wolverine and can be accessed in downtown Wolverine. This is a hiking and biking trail, but there are also ATV and dirbike trails within 10 miles and thousands of State Forest acres. Burt Lake State Park which has boat launch that can access you to Burt/Mullet and Crooked Lake is less than 10 miles away. Small swimming lake(Silver Lake) within two miles offering space to paddleboard, canoe or bring your small boat.
