Cévennes Yurt in an eco-village

🌱 Welcome to Les Masades, an eco-home in the Cévennes National Park! Enjoy a peaceful and rejuvenating stay in this quiet environment surrounded by nature. Whether you come as a family, a couple or solo, this atypical place at the crossroads of Gard, Lozère and Ardèche is ideal for relaxation and tranquility. Many outdoor activities await you nearby: hiking, swimming in Lake Villefort or in the Chassezac River and tree climbing. The space 🛖 The Cévennes yurt is located within the eco-school in a quiet and rejuvenating environment and with stunning views of nature! 🛌 The interior of the yurt includes a double bed (140 x 200 cm), two single beds (90 x 200 cm) and a sofa bed. A baby cot can be provided on request. In the center of the yurt, there is a wood-burning stove for the winter. 🍳 The kitchen is located in a small independent stone house, right next to the yurt. It is composed of basic elements: two hotplates, a fridge, a sink and cooking utensils (pots, pans, kettle, toaster, plates, coffee makers, teapot, etc.) to make the most of your stay. 🚻 The toilet is a dry toilet outside the yurt, with a beautiful view of the mountain! In summer, there is a solar shower outside the yurt, and in all seasons, you can use the shared bathroom, located a few meters from the yurt with shower and water toilet. 🗣 From the yurt, you have access to the common areas of the eco-home. The village square is a place of sharing and conviviality where vacationers and residents of Les Masades can meet. 💦 The natural swimming pool is also a place to relax with its wooden terrace and sun loungers to enjoy the sun in summer. The water in the pool comes from our spring, and it is naturally filtered by the reeds. Generally, the pool is suitable for swimming from the end of May to the end of July, because after that, the water is too scarce to supply the pool. 🧶 You can also discover the Les Masades shop, which offers items and services from the artisans of the hamlet: basketry, herbal teas, honey, jewelry, etc. Wi-Fi access + a remote work space is available here. You can also use the internet with the 4G network throughout the place. 🚲 By reservation, you can benefit on site from Rebozo relaxation treatments offered by one of the inhabitants of the eco-house, as well as breakfasts prepared with organic products or the rental of electric bicycles to discover the region. 🎒 Nearby, you can discover many tourist attractions: - Day hikes from Les Masades or in the surrounding area (Mont Lozère, Bois de Païolive) - swimming spots (Lake Villefort, Chassezac Gorges, Mazet Beach) - bike rides in the area (we offer electric bike rental) - local markets, in Les Vans or Villefort - discovery of local heritage (La Garde Guérin) - Mas de l'Ayre Tree Climbing Park 🚰 The school is supplied with untreated drinking spring water. In summer, it should be used sparingly. Sheets and towels are not provided, please bring them. It is also possible to rent them on site upon prior request. 🥾 For your comfort, we recommend bringing closed shoes and flashlights or headlamps for the night. Guest access 🚗 Access is by car from Les Vans or Villefort. The last few kilometers are on a winding mountain road but with stunning views! You then arrive, halfway up the valley, at the school, where you can park your car in the parking lot. Other things to note 🧘🏼‍♀️ In our eco-home, we have chosen a way of life close to nature, vegetarian, without tobacco or alcohol. As a result, we ask that you do not consume them in communal areas (swimming pool, village square, etc.). Thank you in advance for your understanding!
