A newly remodeled farmhouse with a large yard, pond and perfect cozy setting. Located just a mile from the South Branch of the Potomac River. The house is also within 2 miles of C&O Canal, 16 miles from Historical Romney, 15 miles to Cumberland, MD and 10 miles to the Paw Paw, WV tunnel. Guests enjoy hiking, biking, kayaking, fishing or the peaceful setting on the front porch. The space The house was recently remodeled and has all new kitchen appliances. It is located well off the main road and has a large pond in front of it. It is a private place and it is unlikely you will see the neighbors. Guest access Guests are welcome to use the house and surrounding yard and pond for fishing. The property is utilized for the owner's equipment. Please do NOT touch any of the equipment that is parked on the property. Additionally, please do not enter the private garage that is located on the property. There are neighbors on each side of the property. Please be respectful of them and mindful of noise during quiet hours. Other things to note The queen bed in the master bedroom has a newly purchased Nectar mattress on it. I’ve had great reviews from guests who struggle with back pain and the comfort of the mattress. Fast and reliable internet. The tap is city water and is treated with chlorine. I do provide guests a few cold bottled waters in the fridge but please bring extra if you don’t prefer to utilize tap water. I wash all linens in Arm and Hammer Sensitive laundry detergent and clean the house with Young Living's Thieves Household Cleaner as guests that are sensitive to scents and chemicals tend to handle them best. I avoid harsh and harmful chemicals, cleaners and artificial fragrance sprays. My furniture spray is made from essential oils to deter pests and insects and keep guests safe. We also do NOT spray the house or property with any harsh/harmful pesticides or herbicides so it is very safe for pets and young children who are more vulnerable to coming into contact with these things. The nearest grocery store (Walmart, Martins, Aldi, etc.) is roughly a 20-30 min drive from the house. We encourage guests to do grocery shopping prior to arrival if they are looking for more down time without unnecessary trips to town. I have all of the basic cooking spices and condiments stocked in the house as well as olive oil for cooking. We also keep hot tea bags, several types of coffee, creamer, and sugar for guests. Please help yourself to anything in the kitchen- it is all for our guests. If you find yourself missing something you need, please let me know and I will do my best to help you acquire it. We are located in Green Spring, not Springfield. Springfield is the next town over and about 10 mins away. Make sure you enter the city as Green Spring into your GPS or it won’t bring you to our place.
