The first floor flat is accessed via a staircase leading to the double bedroom with beautiful views out onto Coppett Hill. The en-suite bathroom is fitted with walk-in shower and standalone bath. An original wood panelled wall and door separate the bedroom/bathroom area from a well-appointed kitchen and airy lounge, which faces south west towards the River Wye, a short stroll away. The space The Chauffeur’s Flat is part of a large stand-alone stone garage. The entrance is situated next to an established fig tree in a quiet corner of a walled garden. As the name suggests, a chauffeur employed by the family in the main house lived here, early last century. The flat would have been basic and probably doubled as a mechanics workshop, if the darker oil patches on the wood floor are anything to go by. Now fully refurbished and car parts consigned to history, the space provides a unique retreat that’s perfect for relaxing country breaks. Inside Ensuite bathroom with walk in shower, standalone bath, heated towel rail, towels and toiletries. Double bed with supportive, super comfy Casper mattress and quality bedding. Kitchen area includes cooker with 4 ring induction hob, kettle, toaster, fridge/freezer, pots, pans, mugs, glasses and complimentary tea, coffee and fresh milk. Large radiators in the bedroom and lounge areas ensure the flat stays warm and cosy whatever the weather. Storage area for bags behind the kitchen. Hangers, hairdryer. Extendable kitchen dining table and chairs overlooking the garden and river valley. Lounge area with 3 seater sofa and smart TV. Wifi Outside This outside space is private and secure for dogs. It’s a lovely place to sit with dining table and chairs provided. It is managed but not manicured, so as to attract birds and insects. Parking space in front of the flat. Guest access The Chauffeur's flat is exclusively yours for the duration of your stay, There is a key safe in the porch area enabling you to easily access the property and to come and go as you please. Other things to note We have two rescue dogs, Fido & Kuki who live with us at the Farmhouse. They can be vocal when they meets new people and dogs but are friendly and love treats!
