Nestled in the heart of the Sotterley village, Brook Cottage is a picturesque semi-detached thatched cottage, located down a quiet, private driveway amongst a network of footpaths Recently renovated, this listed property boasts character and comfort The area is a haven for walkers and cyclists with quiet roads and paths, and also a quick drive in the car gets you to the Suffolk Heritage Coast - Southwold, Walberswick, Aldeburgh to name a few. Beccles and the Broads are also a short drive away The space Recently renovated, the cottage retains it's character, yet offers modern comforts, and is warm and welcoming. Outside, we have ample parking, a private patio, and a roomy child and dog friendly garden. 2 Brook Cottage has a fully equipped kitchen, with dishwasher and washing machine, enabling guests to comfortably stay for a week or more. The lounge boasts lots of character and has comfortable seating and a dining area. A wall mounted TV is on display with freeview and Netflix, as well as a selection of games, cards, books, magazines and free Wifi. The downstairs bathroom includes a shower, please note there is no bath. There is a ground floor double bedroom, and 2 inter-connecting bedrooms upstairs. The first upstairs bedroom has a queen size double bed, which can be split into two twin beds if required. The second upstairs bedroom leads on from the first bedroom and has 2 twin beds. Please note for clarity - guests have to pass through the first upstairs bedroom to access the second upstairs bedroom. The stairs to the bedrooms are steep and narrow, and so are not suitable for guests with mobility difficulties Linen and towels are provided. Pets are welcome, we just ask that they are kept downstairs, out of the bedrooms and off the furniture A welcome pack is provided, ensuring guests can enjoy a cup of tea or Nespresso pod coffee, with a biscuit and snack on arrival The garden is safe and secure for children and dogs, but please note, there is a Brook running behind the property which can become deep so children must be supervised 1 Brook Cottage is another holiday let property next door, which sleeps up to 4 people, and could also be hired to accommodate grandparents, family or friends for those with a larger group. We sit amongst a network of footpaths, located near the permissive path that leads through parkland to Sotterley Church with a view of the Hall, and the Chapel and War Memorial are also just a 5 minute walk away. Local attractions include (but are not limited to) - Southwold with shops, pubs, restaurants, beaches and pier, Adnams distillery tours, Hall Farm maize maze, cafe and play ground, Beccles Lido, an outdoor swimming pool, Bug's Play Cafe, an indoor soft play attraction for smaller children, seasonal ice skating in Pakefield, Framlingham and Orford Castles are a brilliant day out, and various river activities such as paddle boarding and boat hire on the Broads at Beccles.
