The Dorotea Refuge is a wonderful farmhouse outside the city, located in a quiet and panoramic area, overlooking the Gulf of Salerno. It is located 10 minutes by car from the historic center and is equipped with TWO POOLS! An 8x4 and a 4x2 m². The Structure is the ideal place to enjoy the beauty and tranquility of nature… …without giving up the comforts and conveniences of a modern appartement. The Refuge is perfect for couples, friends or families who want to visit Salerno and the coast. The space The beautiful Refuge “Dorotea” combines rustic charm with the elegance of contemporary design. Completely renovated in 2024, it offers modern comforts and facilities, as well as fine finishes and state-of-the-art furnishings. The house is equipped with: - air conditioning; - heating; - WiFi; - Smart TV; - dishwasher; - washing machine; - espresso machine; and all sorts of necessities you might need during your stay! A flight of stairs leads to the house: The first room also features a sofa bed (which converts to a double bed when opened) and a wardrobe. Finally, you will find a first small half bath, a perfect addition if there are 3 or 4 of you! It is an architectural gem, as it was carved out of an old watchtower inside an old farmhouse dating back to the 1700s. The kitchen is compact, state-of-the-art and equipped with all the necessary amenities: - there is a coffee machine; - all the kitchen cutlery you may need; - glasses; - plates and you will find; - a table from which you can enjoy lunches, dinners and breakfasts with the magnificent view of the Gulf of Salerno! The washing machine is located in a compartment of the kitchen, for the exclusive use of guests. Then, you will have a balcony and a window, from which you will see an unimaginable panorama. Next, you will find the Master Bedroom equipped with: - King Size bed; - air conditioning; - closet with coat rack; - Smart TV; - a balcony from which you can admire the beautiful view of the sea and the surrounding countryside. The room is new and perfect for resting after a day of sightseeing! As the last interior space, there is the main bathroom: it is entirely made of black and white Kerlite. It is equipped with: - a spacious walk-in shower; - lit by a large window; - of a toilet bowl and a bidet. You will have all sanitary facilities and a complete set of linens, such as: - shampoo; - shower gel; - towels; - hair dryer; - hand soap; - etc. Stepping out onto the outdoor space of the farmhouse, surrounded by nature, we have installed 2 swimming pools: 1. an 8x4 meter pool and can accommodate up to 13 people, allowing for plenty of space and freedom; 2. The second, smaller one, measures 4x2 meters. It can hold up to 6 people at the same time without any problems. The pools are surrounded by the products carefully grown on our land. From the pool area you can enjoy unparalleled views! Of course, both pools are Extremely Stable and can be used freely. In addition, both pools are shared with another accommodation, also owned by us, so always respect the other guests, you have every freedom and can safely make arrangements with them for the two pools. Finally, there are several chairs with sunbeds, a parasol and towels, thanks to which you can relax after swimming on summer days. That way you won't have to go to the beach or queue miles every day for the sea. The pool area is also equipped with a basketball hoop and a ping-pong table, where you can pass the time when you are not out and about in the city! The entire outdoor space is surrounded by a garden with beautiful unique natural landscaping! - flowers; - fruit trees; - herbs; - fields cultivated with our own produce. THE POOLS WILL BE CLOSED UNTIL APRIL 14, SO THEY CANNOT BE USED BY GUESTS. THEY WILL BE OPENED FROM THE 15TH Guest access The house is located in a secluded and quiet area, but not far from the main road. There will be a person there to guide you and, in case of difficulty, will physically pick you up to guide you to the Facility. Once you arrive in front of the entrance gate, a member of our team will show you around each area. You will be able to park for free within the farmhouse space, as you will be shown. Once you have parked your car, you only need to walk 15 meters and you will arrive in front of the gate leading to the facility. After a few steps. on the right you will find the front door. A member of our team will show you every detail and guide you to the entrance. Other things to note Generally, our swimming pools are open seasonally, usually from April 15th to October 15th. These dates are subject to slight variations based on weather conditions to ensure you have the best possible experience. It is mandatory to send the documents of all guests, possibly before your arrival at the facility, by sending us photos via Airbnb. You may check-in from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Should you need to do a late check-in and thus enter the facility after 9 p.m., the important thing is to notify us within 24 hours before the day of check-in. Should we not be notified of any check-in after 9 p.m. in the 24 hours preceding the day of check-in, a penalty of €30 will be required for check-ins conducted between 9 p.m. and 00:00 a.m. or a penalty of €50 for check-ins conducted from 00:00 onward. For any questions or requests, we are available if necessary. Inside the farmhouse where the structure is located, the caretaker Matteo also lives with his family. Apart from the outdoor garden which is maintained by the latter, the swimming pool space and the structure are totally for the exclusive use of guests. Therefore, Matteo or his family will not disturb you in any way, indeed they will be there to help you for any urgent eventuality. Obviously, Matteo's home is not connected to the structure, which is completely independent. You may conduct check-in from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Should you need to conduct a late check-in and thus enter the facility after 9 p.m., the important thing is to notify us a few days in advance. Should we not be notified of a check-in after 9 p.m., you will have to pay a penalty of 30€ for check-ins carried out from 9 p.m. to 00:00 a.m. and a penalty of 50€ for check-ins carried out from 00:00 onwards.
