Sandsbu Cabin - Gimsøy, Lofoten

Sandsbu is a beautiful, modern cabin built in 2024. It has high ceilings and large windows in all directions, giving you a full view of the unique surroundings. From the veranda's panorama, you can admire the magnificent mountains in all directions, the mighty ocean and, not least, a constant variation of colorful sunsets and the midnight sun. The cabin is a perfect place to experience the northern lights. We have an 16amp outlet for car charging outside. The space The cabin is approximately 60 square meters and has heating in all floors except for the bedroom. Next to the entrance hall is the bathroom, with a large shower cubicle and washing machine. The kitchen is state-of-the-art, with a dishwasher and plenty of counter space. Around the corner, you'll find the bright, cozy living room, complete with a fireplace and a soft corner sofa. The bedroom is furnished with a Norwegian high-comfort bed (180 x 200 cm). The veranda extends along the cabin’s entire length and around the corner, complete with outdoor furniture. The surrounding area is probably Sandsbu's best amenity. All photos in this ad are taken nearby. From the stairs, you can look over at Gimsøy church, a picturesque attraction that people travel a long way to see. The area around Sandsbu is called "Gimsøysand" because of the sandbanks that surround the many small islands. At low tide, you can explore both the sandbanks and the islands, and perhaps even find an exotic beach with azure water. This is all in addition to the exciting flora and fauna: berries, flowers, shells, seaweed, fish, otters, eagles and a bunch of very friendly cows. If you want to explore more of Gimsøya itself, you can bike over to the island's 24-hour grocery store/café- located right by the popular Vinje beach. Want to get a little higher off the ground? Within 10-15 minutes by car, you'll arrive at the starting points for several great hikes of varying distances and difficulty. 5 km away you'll find Hov Farm where you can experience Gimsøya from the horse back, have a coffee or dinner in the restaurant. Or if you like golf, you can play at Lofoten Links Golf which is ranked 88 in the world. The cozy and world-famous fishing village of Henningsvær is only a 35 minute drive away. Svolvær and Leknes are respectively 35 and 45 minutes away by car. Throughout Lofoten, there are countless hiking trails that offer unforgettable nature experiences - and that's no exaggeration. In 25 minutes you reach Kabelvågmarka which is a perfect and popular starting point for your randonee experience in the winter time. Gimsøya, and more specifically, Sandsbu, is a perfect starting point to enjoy all that Lofoten has to offer.
