Cockle Cottage is a charming, traditional two bedroom Norfolk fisherman’s cottage situated on the High Street just a stones through away from Blakeney Quay and skipping distance from Blakeney Delicatessen. Perfect for anyone looking to get away from the hustle and bustle of day to day life... The space Upon entering the cottage you will find the lovely light, bright living room with beautiful comfy soft furnishings. Neutrally decorated, this room feels wonderfully airy in the summer month as well as warm and welcoming in winter, perfect for snuggling up in front of the gorgeous wood burning stove which is the focal point of the room. The living room is open to the intimate and cosy dining area which comfortably seats 4. From the living room up a few small steps is the traditional, small but well-equipped hand-painted wooden kitchen which has an electric oven and hob, a microwave, a slimline integrated dishwasher and a fridge with ice box. The kitchen is tastefully decorated and allows access to the enclosed courtyard garden which has a pretty table and chairs set -perfect for sitting and sipping a glass of wine on a warm sunny evening! Just beyond the garden is an outhouse which is home to the washing machine and tumble drier as well as a shower room. Just off the kitchen is the ground floor shower room. Up the original, steep ‘Norfolk Winder’ cottage stairs (please note these stairs are not suitable for those with any mobility issues) and off a small landing are two bedrooms. To the right is the master bedroom with a king size bed and en-suite shower room and to the left the second king size bedroom. Both bedrooms are light, airy and comfortable and look out over the High Street. The owners have really put a lot of thought and care into the renovation of this traditional Norfolk cottage and we just love it.
