For 5 years, Myriam and her husband have privatized and converted the extension of their family home called "LE BOUT DU L" into an independent gîte, rated 3 ***. It is a charming haven of peace in the heart of the small village of Mesbrecourt-Richecourt, ideally located in the middle of a rich and varied heritage between Saint-Quentin, Laon & Guise in the Aisne. Completely renovated, it is designed as the perfect cozy place for a country, sports, cultural break with family or friends. The space This warm cottage of 90 m², with its private and independent access, can comfortably accommodate up to 5 people (and 2 toddlers). On the ground floor you will find: - A cozy living room with exposed stones, perfect for relaxing moments, the sofa is convertible -A fully equipped open kitchen, overlooking a living room bathed in light, with garden views and a sunny terrace of 30 sqm, ideal for your breakfasts -A bathroom - with a tile of more than 100 years on the wall - with walk-in shower and independent toilet (towels are of course provided) Upstairs: -A first inviting bedroom with exposed stones, with a double bed and a single bed -A second bedroom with soft pastel tones, for peaceful and restful nights! The large wooded and flowered garden of 4000 m² is shared with Myriam, her husband. But rest assured, they are very discreet and will ensure that you enjoy every moment with peace of mind. Guest access Access: access to the accommodation: autonomous (lockbox), via a private and secure entrance with parking for your car(s) (Myriam will send you the details following your reservation) A26 highway 10 minutes away local shops 6 km away (post office, bank, bakery, butcher shop, tobacco/press, Carrefour Market) Other things to note Discover the surrounding area, the cultural heritage of Axonais is AT YOUR DOORSTEP: you can access Laon medieval city, its ramparts & Gothic cathedral, Guise and the Familistère, Saint-Quentin and Art Deco, the memories of the Great War (Chemin des dames, dragon's cave), the fortified churches of Thiérache, ... For athletes or those who want to relax in nature: many paths leave the village for walks in the middle of the fields or along a river (routes recorded in the Open Runner app). Myriam will also be able to advise you on many walks or hikes, tested & approved (on foot, by bike, by mountain bike): Saint-Gobain state forest, green axis, Stevenson route, Ailette valley... Bicycles are accepted! In the cottage, you have an entrance (locked) in which you can safely store your bikes during your stay. (detailed documentation is available)
