Collares-Sintra Petit Palais is part of a historic villa in Colares, between the sea and the mountains, in the heart of the Serra de Sintra Natural Park, a UNESCO Cultural Landscape. It is the old Town Hall building, the old Court, and is located on archaeological ground in what is thought to be the first castle in Sintra, built before the year 1000.
