The Hayloft. Charming cottage, two storey, bijou.
Description
In the heart of the scenic Ashdown Forest, 33 miles London, 25 south coast, 12 from Gatwick, 15 local places to eat, and yet in a quiet, central location, in enchanting Winnie the Pooh area. National Trust and other interests within walking or cycling, driving distance. Free roadside parking and two minutes walk from a home bakery, health food and shops. A delightfully airy cottage with its own door, log burning fire and other heating, double bedroom and with access to a charming garden. The space The Hayloft is a delightful bijou two storey cottage property with stairs up to a high ceilinged double bedroom. Downstairs is a light filled yet cosy sitting, dining area with a deep leather sofa opposite an efficient wood burning stove, a table that can seat four, and French doors opening out to an attractive garden with two tables and seating, and a small pond. There is of course both central heating as well as an electric heater for those times when you do not wish to light the wood burner. Wood is provided. Guest access The Hayloft is quiet and wholly available for the guests. It is reached by a stepped path leading down to its own front door. There is free roadside parking, as well as a free 23 hour car park very near by (some bays are 3 hour, and some 6 hour, but that is indicated). As you approach, up the hill of Upper Close, you will turn a corner and ahead of you on the left is a telegraph pole about 100 yards along. You have arrived. Other things to note Although this is ideal for a couple, the Hayloft could easily accommodate a child (or two) by flexible arrangement, and I would be happy to discuss this with you. If you wish to bring your dog, I would ask that you keep him/her downstairs, and bring a bed for it to sleep on. The garden is secure.
